3、and plants.,Oak tree(橡树）Oak tree is generally tall and flourish, so ,its natural for the Greeks to connect the oak tree with the most powerful and mighty god -Zeus.,White poplar(白杨） Because of the one bright ,one dark leaves of white poplar ,it has always being a symbol of Hades who bring life to an

Therefore the bright side represents life and the dark side death.,Olive （橄榄）,In an archaic Athenian foundation myth, Athena won the patronship of Attica from Poseidon with the gift of the olive. And olive became Athenas sacred plant.,Laurellr()l （月桂树）,It was said that Cupid had two kind of a
5、rrows, one kind was made of gold which gave people a strong desire for love, another kind was made of bronze which gave people a disgust of love.And Cupid shot Apollo with the gold arrow and shot Daphne with the bronze one. When Apollo met Daphne, he hopelessly fell in love with Daphne. While Daphne
