9、 payment, work, problems, etc) not yet paid, done, resolved, etc (指报酬、 工作、 问题等)未偿付的, 未完成的, 未解决的e.g. a) an outstanding student, piece of work, performance 优秀的学生、 作品、 3表演b) the outstanding features of the landscape 景色的显著特点c) A good deal of work is still outstanding. 不少工作尚未完成.5. 11、oth my parents are accomplished musicians. 我父母亲均是有造诣的音乐家。b) an accomplished lady 有教养的女士【词义辨析】accomplish, achieve, complete, finish,1, achieve v.“取得,实现美好的事物”,后面不接贬义词做宾语。如不能说: The team achieved failure. 2, complete 强调 “完整”,含有从头到尾使其完全齐备,补充其不足,或不完整之处,使其成为一个完美的整体,语气比 finish 正式,但很多情况下可以和finish 通用。complete

12、 后面只能接名词。如: Lucy wanted to complete the first chapter of her book before going to bed. 3, finish 强调 “结束”,即完成了自己计划要干的事情,着眼点在最后是否完成而不太注重整个过程,后面可接名词和动名词。在做把什么东西“吃完、喝完”解时,不能用 complete 代替。如: When he finished speaking, we all applauded. 4, accomplish 强调“ 达到预期的目的,成功地完成,取得成绩或成就”,后面可接名词或动名词。如: Fred can accom
