SCOPEThis procedure outlines the definitions and requirements for the use of High Visibility Vests on a construction site and does not include any
5、 operational mining areas where high Visibility Vests must be worn at all times.4. DEFINITIONSHigh Visibility VestsA vest of high visibility colours incorporating reflective striping that is worn over normal work clothes to highlight and increase the visibility to others of the wearer.High Visibilit
6、y ClothesAny clothing that is embroidered with High Visibility or reflective striping to highlight and increase the visibility of the wearer.Mobile CranesMobile Cranes are regarded as any crane that is use to mobile loads around site (i.e. cranes traversing with loads).Heavy Mobile PlantIs any large
7、 item of plant or vehicle that is not of normal vehicle configuration that is capable of moving during operation and may have limited operator visibility such as; Loaders, dozers, excavators, rollers and other heavy civil earth moving plant; Road TrainsMobiling LoadsRefers to moving of loads on road
8、ways by means of a mobile crane.Construction SiteRefers to any area where construction activities are being performed on a mining lease, except for active mining areas.Active Mining AreaAny area such as Mine pits, underground mines, ROM pads, waste dumps and heavy mobile plant parking areas.Exempt A

10、contractual arrangement with African Minerals Limited Early Cash Flow.VisitorVisitor refers to any personnel who are not fully trained, inducted and cleared for work activities on the project site for a continued duration unescorted.5. PROCEDUREThe following details the requirements to indicate when
11、 a High Visibility Vest shall be worn to ensure the safety of the wearer and to also define situations where it is considered hazardous to wear a High Visibility Vest.If you are in any doubt at all as to whether your task require a High Visibility Vest to be worn you must check with the Construction
12、 Manager and/or relevant area Supervisor.5.1 Wearing of High Visibility VestsHigh Visibility Vests shall be worn at all times in the following situations; Mobiling of loads on construction site roadways with Mobile Cranes; Any Mining area; Working within 50 metres of any Heavy Mobile Plant; If you a
13、re a Visitor onsite.5.2 Non-Wearing of High Visibility Vests5.2.1 High Visibility Vests are not required to be worn in the following areas; Plant construction site for general construction activities; When escorting a Visitor onsite.5.2.2 High Visibility Vests must not be worn in the following situa
14、tions; Carrying out any Hot Works (welding, cutting or grinding); Testing of live electrical circuits and switchboards; Working near any hot vessel, piping or plant exhaust; Carrying out Mobile Plant and equipment engine repairs; Near any drive belt or moving part of plant and/or equipment; Using an

ACCESS TO HIGH VISIBILITY VESTSAll personnel sha
16、ll have ready access to a High Visibility Vest to enable compliance with this procedure as required.All Mobile Cranes shall have at least two High Visibility Vests for Dogmen to wear during the mobiling of loads on roadways. At no time shall a Dogman assist with the mobiling of a load without wearin
17、g a High Visibility Vest, a shirt with reflective striping is not considered sufficient for this task.7. RESPONSIBILITIESCrane OperatorsCrane Operators are responsible to ensure that no person Dogs a mobile load on a roadway without a High Visibility Vest.Supervisors and ManagementSupervisors are responsible to ensure that all personnel are instructed in the requirements of and comply with this Safe Work Instruction at all times.All PersonnelAll personnel are responsible to ensure that the requirements of this Safe Work Instruction are followed at all times.
