Im taking my driving test tomorrow. !A. Cheers B. Good luck C. Come on D. Congratulations这种情景反应的题目,我们做题的时候最好来假设场景,比如像这道题, “我明天要参加驾驶考试了!”

I have got a high mark in the English exam._ Congratulations/Cheers !22. Excuse me for breaking in. I have some news for you.A. so B. and C. but D. yet这四个选项都是连词,但到底用哪一个就看前后句的语气了,那这两句之间到底是什么关系呢?“很抱歉我来插话了” , “我有消息带给你们。

、ews for you) ,很明显,前后句是转折关系,那我们就用 but.23. You havent said a word about my new coat, Brenda. Do you like it? Im sorry I anything about it sooner. I certainly think its pretty on you.A. wasnt saying B. dont say C. wont say D. didnt say从第一句来看, “我”表示抱歉的原因应该是“我”刚才没有对新衣服发表评论,所以从时态上我们需要过去时,而文中并没有表达过去正在干某事的意

24. The mother didnt know to blame for the broken glass as it happened while she was out.A. who B. when C. how D. what从语法上来说,这四个选项都可以和 to do 搭配,遇到这种“棘手”的的情况,我们只能到题干意思中寻求帮助了,玻璃打破的时候妈妈正好出去了,现在又没有人站出来主动承认,那么妈妈要责怪只会是责备“凶手”了,那我们就得选提问人的疑问代词 wh

、o,Who to blame“责备谁” 。25. Is John coming by train? He should, but he not. He likes driving his car.A. must B. can C. need D. may这个题的题干太简单了,给我们的理解增加了不少困难,不过来看题干的第二行,我们应试卷类型:B绝密:启用前该还是能找到突破口:He should “他应该(坐火车来) ”,这可能因为路程远,而最后一句又说,He likes driving his car.(他喜欢开汽车。

Jumping out o f airplane at ten thousand feet is quite exciting experience.A. 不填; the B. 不填; an C. an; an D. the; the要选择使用什么样的冠词,我们就得看冠词修

Boris has no brains. In fact, I doubt whether anyone in the class has IQ.A. a high B. a higher C. the higher D. the highestBoris 智力很差,那么我怀疑的就是可能班上任何一个人都比他的智商高, “一个更高的智商(a higher IQ).

、”28. The taxi driver often reminds passengers to their belongings when they leave the car.A. keep B. catch C. hold D. take下车的时候,司机提醒的肯定是要乘客带上行李,take their belongings. Please hold your belongings when staying in the

、train.29. I wonder why Jenny us recently. We should have heard from her by now.A. hasnt written B. doesnt write C. wont write D. hadnt written从后一句“到目前为止我们本应该收到她的信了。

、John shut everybody out of the kitchen he could prepare his grand surprise for the party.A. which B. when C. so that D. as if空格前后的两句是什么关系呢?

31. We thought of selling this old furniture. But weve decided to it. It might be valuable.A. hold on to B. keep up with C. turn to D. look after先不看选项,我们来想一下题干说的什么意思, “我们”本来打算把那件旧家俱卖掉,但最终决定把它保留下来,因为它可能很值钱。

Having a trip abroad is certainly good for the old couple, but it remains whether they will enjoy it.A. to see B. to be seen C. seeing D. seen首先,你对这句话是怎么理解的?“进行一次出国旅行对一对老年夫妇来说自然是件

”33. It is said in Australia there is more land than the government knows .A. it what to do with B. what to do it withC. what to do with it D. to do what with it这句话的意思是说:“据说澳大利亚的土地多得政府都不知道该如何处理了。 ”“该如何处理它们(这些土地) ”,what to do with it。34. The research is so designed that once nothing

、can be done to change it.A. begins B. having begun C. beginning D. begun这个题有难度,你理解了题干的意思了吗?“这个研究是如此的精心设计以致于它一旦开始就不能进行任何改动。 Once it was begun nothing can be done to change it. 35. Meeting my uncle after all these ye

、ars was an unforgettable moment, , I will always treasure.A. that B. one C. it D. what这里需要一个词来代替前一句“Meeting my uncle after all these years was an unforgettable moment(过了这些年再次遇见我的叔叔是一个让人难忘的时刻。

What is intelligence(智力) anyway? When I was in the army I 36 an intelligence test that all soldiers took, and ,against 37 of 100, scored 160.I had an auto-repair man once, who,

、on these intelligence tests, could not 38 have scored more than 80. 39 , when anything went wrong with my car I hurried to him and he always 40 it.Well, then, suppose my auto-repair man 41 questions for some intelligence tests. By every one of them Id prove myself a 42 . In a world where I have to w

、ork with my 43 . Id do poorly.Consider my auto-repair man 44 . He had a habit of telling 45 . One time he said, “Doe, a deaf-dumb(聋哑 )man 46 some nails. Having entered a store, he put two fingers together on the counter and made 47 movements with the other hand. The clerk brought him a hammer. He 48

、 his head and pointed to the two fingers he was hammering. The clerk 49 him some nails. He picked out the right size and left, well, Doe, the 50 man who came in was blind. He wanted scissors(剪刀). 51 do you suppose he asked for them?” I lifted my right hand and made scissoring movements with my first

、 two fingers. He burst out laughing and said, “Why, you fool, he used his 52 and asked for them. Ive been 53 that on all my customers today, but I knew 54 Id catch you.” “Why is that ?” I asked, “Because you are so goddamned educated. Doe, I knew you couldnt be very 55 .”And I have an uneasy feeling

、 he had something there.36. (When I was in the army) ,那看来肯定是“我”也接受(rec

37. A. an average B. a total C. an exam D. a number“我”的成绩能够与之比较的,从选项来看,只能是大家的平均成绩(an average of 100) ,而不可能是总成绩(a total) 或一个无任何特定意义的数字 (a number).38.

39. A. Then B. Thus C. Therefore D. Yet空格前后连接的两句话一句说那个汽车修理工的智力测试结果很差,后一句却说我的汽车一有问题就去找他,并且他每次都能修好,这两句的语气正好相反,那么在空格处我们就需要填一个表转折关系的连词,从选项看来,只能是 yet(然而)了。40. A. fixed B. checked C. drove D. changed我把修理工叫来,自然是想要他把我的汽车修理好(fix it)了.

(In a world where I have to work wi

、th my hands. A. lies B. jokes C. news D. tales从下文来看

A. cutting B. hammering C. waving D. circling从下文店员的误会我们

至于其它几个选项,你可以设想一下,用钉子和锤子,怎么可能模仿成cutting(切割), waving(挥动,摇动), circling(围绕,环绕)的动作,而店员还能够理解?48. 49. A. brought B. packed C. s

50. A. clever B. other C. right D. next从上下文来看,开始走进商店

51. A. What B. How C. Who D. Which在上文中那个聋哑人向店员要钉子的方式很特别,那么这个汽车修理工接下来要问 “我” 的肯定是: “那个盲人会用何种方式向店员要剪刀呢?” 52. A. imagination B. hand C. voice D. infor

Shes practising on the piano. You need to practise listening English everyday.

A. for sure B. at once C. in fact D. right now从这一句的动词 knew(过去时 )可以看出,那个修理工用过去时态表明他预先就知道 “我” 肯定会被 “捉住”(被他的笑话愚弄一下).

AIn 1901. H.G. Wells, an English writer, wrote a book describing a trip to the moon. When the explorers(探险者 ) landed on the moon, they discovered that the moon was full of underground cities. They expressed their surprise to t

、he “moon people” they met. In turn, the “moon people” expressed their surprise. “Why, ” they asked, “are you traveling to outer space when you dont even use your inner space?”H. G. Wells could only imagine travel to the moon. In 1969, human beings really did land on the moon. People today know that

、there are no underground cities on the moon. However, the question that the “moon people” asked is still an interesting one. A growing number of scientists are seriously thinking about it.Underground system are already in place. Many cities have underground car parks. In some cities, such as Tokyo,

、Seoul and Montreal, there are large underground shopping areas. The “Chunnel” , a tunnel(隧道)connecting England and France, is now complete. But what about underground cities? 38、face space for public parks and using underground space for flats, offices, shopping, and so on. A solar dome(太阳能穹顶) would cover the whole city.Supporters of underground development say that building down rather than building up is a good way to use the earths space. The surface, they say, can be us

、ed for farms, parks, gardens, and wilderness. H.G. Wells moon people would agree. Would you? 56. The explorers in H. G Wells story were surprised to find that the “moon people ” .A. knew so much about the earth B. understood their languageC. lived in so many underground cities D. were ahead of them

C.57. What does the underlined word “it” (paragraph 2) refer to?A. Discovering the moons inner space. B. Using the earths inner spaceC. Meeting the “noon people” again D. Traveling to outer space我们来看一下 it 所在的那句话, “然而,外星人提出的问题

从文中的对应关系来看,it 指代的显然是前一句中“the question that the “moon people” asked”,那么外星人到底问了什么问题呢? 这就需要我们到第一段去寻找了,看一下第一段最后一句, “are you traveling to outer space when you dont even use your inner space?” 58. What sort of undergroun

、d systems are already here with us?A. Offices, shopping areas, power stations B. Tunnels, car parks, shopping areasC. Gardens, car parks, power stations D. Tunnels, gardens, offices.

What would be the best title for the text?A. Alice Cities cities of the future. B. Space travel with H.G. WellsC. Enjoy living underground D. Building down, not up给文章找一个好标题,那你就得俯瞰全文了(千万别“一叶障目,不见泰山”呀!)

Building down, not up(向下建,而不是向上!)既简洁,又贴切!5660 CBBDC 6165 BAAAD 6670 ADCBC 7175 BDACABLONDON (Reuters) Organic fruit, delivered right to the doorstep. That is what Gabriel Gold prefers, and he is wi

、lling to pay for it. If this is not possible, the 26-year-old computer technician will spend the extra money at the supermarket to buy organic food.“Organic produce is always better, “ Gold said. “The food is free of pesticides(农药) ,and you are generally supporting family farms instead of large farm

、s. And more often than not it is locally (本地) grown and seasonal, so it is more tasty.” Gold is one of a growing number of shoppers buying into the organic trend, and supermarkets across Britain are counting on more like him as they grow their organic food business. But how many shoppers really know

、 what they are getting, and why are they willing to pay a higher price for organic produce? Market research shows that Gold and others who buy organic food can generally give clear reasons for their preferences but their knowledge of organic food is far from complete. For example, small amounts of p

、esticides can be used on organic products. And about three quarters of organic food in Britain is not local but imported(进口) to meet growing demand. “The demand for organic food is increasing by about one third every year, so it is a very fast-growing market ,” said Sue Flock, a specialist in this line of business.60.
