3、十分活跃的构词方式，比如根据classmate很多同学都会联想到roommate, schoolmate, workmate, playmate等。合成的方式有很多，下面我们来看一下常见的有哪些？,1 名词+名词：一般来讲，构成的词还是名词， 如：website, homework, basketball 2 副词+名词：可以构成形容词或者副词，如：upstairs, downstairs 都既可作形容 词，也可以作副词,常见的合成词的方式：,3 副词+动词：一般用来构成动词。如：download 4 名词+形容词：构成形容词。如：word-famous, homesick(想家的),常见的合
4、成词的方式：,合成词的发音,一、重音变化 两个或多个重读的单词合成一个单词，只能有一个音节重读，因此其余的音 节会失去重音而弱读。 如：classroom, washroom, bedroom中的room就不重读。,合成词的发音,一般说来，复合名词的第一个音节重读。如： bedroom, blackboard, breakfast, classroom, football, grandmother, grandfather, midnight, playhouse, washroom等。 但afternoon, forget, goodbye是第二 个音节重读。,二、字母或字母组合读音变化 由
5、于部分音节失去重音而弱读，音节 内的字母或字母组合的读音也要随之 变化。如： man /-policeman, for /-forget, break /ei/ -breakfast /e/ room /u:/ -classroom /u/, washroom /u/,bedroom /u/,1.
