1、Extensive Reading,阅读1课程要求,英语阅读(1)是英语专业本科一年级第一学期开设的阅读课程。实际课堂教学时间非常有限(16-18学时),因而要求学生大力加强课外阅读,通过增加阅读量来补充扩大词汇量。,课外阅读及作业,小说:读指定简写本或原著4本。要求看完后些读书报告(10月份开始一月一交)。推荐读物:小书架系列小说。 教材:每单元Section C和词汇等练习;在课堂上未阅读的所有文章。 (注:除教师规定材料外,课本不要预习,但复习会非常有助于巩固和记忆。) 英语新闻:每天至少读1-2篇实时英语新闻报道。,课外阅读书目,The English novels (abridged

21、类:自由词素(Free Morpheme) 和粘附词素(Bound Morpheme) 1)自由词素指本身意义完整,并能作为“简单词(Simple Word/ Morpheme Word)” 而单独使用的词素,e.g. boy, girl, kind, cruel, take,etc.a.自由词素可以充当词根(Root) 加上词缀(Affix)构成派生词(Derivative). 例如: kind: kindness, unkind, unkindness, kindly friend: friendly, friendship, friendless, unfriendly, unfrien

22、dliness,b. 自由词素还可以跟其它自由词素相结合,构成复合词(Compound Word). 例如: book: bookmark, bookworm, bookshop, bookstall take: intake, take-over, take-off, takeaway, undertake2) 粘附词素粘附词素本身意义不完整,不能单独使用,必须粘附在自由词素或其它形式上才能表示出意义。主要功能是在够刺伤充当词缀,即屈折词缀(Inflectional Affix) 和派生词缀(Derivational Affix).,a. 屈折词缀在现代英语中寥寥可数,包括:名词复数标记-s

23、/-es; 名词属格标记:-s; 第三人称动词单数现在时标记-s/-es; 动词过去时标记-ed;-ed分词和-ing分词标记-ed,-ing; 形容词和副词比较级和最高级的标记-er,-est等。 b. 派生词缀可分为前缀(Prefix)和后缀(suffix),能和词根搭配构成派生词。例如: 前缀 后缀 前后缀 anti-war Marxist unlucky postwar movement co-existence pan-African careless inappropriateness co-exist carelessness pre-liberation,动词性词缀,英语中的动
