This program is available for a limited time and you may apply while funds last.1.0 Eligibili
3、ty1.1 For the purposes of this program, contributions will only be provided to qualifying Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within Northern Ontario.1.2 SMEs deemed eligible are as follows:(a) operating on a full-time basis, with a valid BIN number;(b) seasonal businesses, such as tourism ope
4、rations;(c) not-for-profit organizations with a focus on Economic Development.1.3 SMEs deemed not eligible are as follows:(a) hobby businesses;(b) SMEs that have no reasonable prospect of being sustainable.1.4 Applicants may receive a contribution of up to 75% to a total of $5,000, whichever is the
5、lesser amount. Applicants fall in to one of the following categories:(a) having never participated in the BEAM program before(b) having previously received a contribution less than $5,000;(c) having previously received a contribution totalling $5,000 and are therefore not eligible for further contri
6、butions for a three (3) year period from the approval date of your most recent BEAM project.1.5 Successful Applicants will be required to sign a Contribution Agreement with MCN.2.0 E-Business GoalsE-Business goals must be results oriented to have an impact on the business operations of the Applicant
7、. 2.1 Goals include, but are not limited to:(a) marketing;(b) sales fulfillment;(c) competitive intelligence;(d) production;(e) internal operations;Pg. 2 (f) human resources management.3.0 BEAM ComponentsComplete Section D E-BUSINESS GOALS, Section E PROPOSED TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS and Section F VENDOR
8、 INFORMATION by addressing which BEAM component(s) will assist the Applicant in achieving their E-Business goals.3.1 The Applicants project may be classified as: (a) web development:(i) domain registration;(ii) design.(b) content development:(i) web copy;(ii) digital media.(c) mobile applications:(i
9、) mobile websites;(ii) mobile apps.(d) applications that support business operations(i) business management and process control applications;(ii) training applications.4.0 Terms of the BEAM Program4.1 Applicants may receive a contribution of up to 75% to a total of $5,000, whichever is the lesser am
10、ount. Recipients are eligible to receive up to $5,000 within a three (3) year period. 4.2 Funding is available for the technical work associated with creating a web presence or capability for the SME or for the costs associated with implementing or upgrading E-Business applications. Funding can also
11、 be used to develop or enhance business applications for smartphones and mobile devices. 4.3 Eligible costs include the design, development and implementation of BEAM components.4.4 Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and E-Business marketing development may be considered. 4.5 A minimum of two quotes s
12、ourced from different vendors addressing each of the Applicants proposed E-Business goals must be submitted with your application. Northern Ontario vendors are preferred (see Section A BEAM PROGRAM INFORMATION, 5.0 Local Vendor Policy for further information). Current vendor quotes are required.4.6
13、Ongoing costs such as web hosting, maintenance and media placement costs are not deemed eligible.4.7 Receipts for eligible expenses must be provided for a claim to be processed. See Section B APPLICATION CHECKLIST for details on how to complete this application in order for the BEAM application to b
14、e processed.Pg. 3 4.8 Applications must meet approval before development work proceeds. MCN will not make any contribution to any expenses made prior to the start date and after the end date.5.0 Local Vendor Policy5.1 Northern Ontario vendors (as defined at the federal level) are preferred. Applican
15、ts who use Northern Ontario vendors will be eligible for up to 75% funding of eligible costs to a maximum of $5,000.5.2 Applicants who choose to use developers outside of Northern Ontario will only be eligible for up to 65% funding of eligible costs to a maximum of $5,000.5.3 MCN provides a list of

Vendors wishing to be added to MCNs vendor list may be added to this list by completing the application found at http:/www.mcnet.ca/servicedirectory/add/. Pg. 4 Section B APPLICATION CHECKLISTThe Applicant has read, understood and completed the
17、 application as per the processing information below. The Applicant will receive confirmation when their application is received by MCN. Should the application be declined, the Applicant will be notified by a letter from the BEAM Project Officer. Should the application be approved, the Applicant wil
18、l be notified by an approval letter from the BEAM Project Officer. There is a 90 calendar day timeframe from the date that the BEAM Contribution Agreement is signed to complete the work specified in this application. Once MCN receives all required documentation, reviews the development work and is s
19、atisified that the work has been completed as specified, MCN will issue a contribution totalling no more than $5,000. Appendix A GLOSSARY OF TERMS has been read and understood by the Applicant. Name of SME: The name of the organization (the Applicant) on the BEAM application is required to match the
20、 name presented on the: (a) vendor quotes;(b) vendor invoices showing payment;(c) proof of payment documents. Type of business: (a) Applicants must provide a valid Business Identification Number (BIN) that may be verified with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). We will also accept a copy of current CRA co
21、rrespondence as proof of valid BIN.(b) Incorporated businesses and not-for-profit SMEs may be asked to provide a valid Incorporation Number or a copy of the organizations articles of incorporation. Section D E-BUSINESS GOALS: Identify how each goal will achieve the BEAM components the Applicant has
22、identified as wanting to implement or upgrade. Refer to Section A BEAM PROGRAM INFORMATION, 2.0: E-Business Goals and 3.0: BEAM Components for more information. Section E PROPOSED TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS: The specific technical solutions and/or tools that will be deployed in order to meet the Applicants
23、 E-Business goals. In the “additional details” area, identify which BEAM component(s) will be addressed through the implementation of these solutions.
