If only +句子 = How I wish thatIf only I had seen the film! = How I wish I had seen the film!would rather 后的宾语从句中：I would rather they didnt hear of the news. I would rather they hadnt heard of the news. (从句动作先发生)表示“建议、要求、命令” （如 s
6、uggest, propose, advise, demand, require, insist, order）等词后的宾 语从句中，用虚拟语气，其结构为 should+动词原形，should 可以省略：He suggested that we (should) start off early the next day. 注意：当 suggest 意为“暗示、表明” ；insist 意为“坚持说、 力言”时，其后的宾语从句不用虚拟 语气：The smile on his face suggested that he was satisfied with our work. 7、sisted that he had never stolen the money. 2. 用于主语从句：It is suggested/ proposed that (should + do)，should 可以省略It is suggested that the meeting (should) be put off till next week. 3. 用于表语从句和同位语从句中：suggestion, proposal, order, request, advice 等名词后的表语从句和同位语从句要用虚拟语气，其构成是 should + do , should 可省略。My reque

We all agreed to his suggestion that we (should) go to Dalian for sightseeing. 三、虚拟语气用在其他句型中:1. as if/ as though He looks as if he were an artist. （同时）She speaks English as if she had studied English in America. （先于）He learns English so hard as if he would go to the USA. （后于）2. It is (high) time (that) 从句中可用过去式或 should+动词原形（should 不能省略） ，意为“该到做 某事的时候了” 。It is high time that you went to school. It is high time that you should go to school.
