Hailuo-gou glacierhas appreciation and scientific value, it is a typicalmonsoonaltemperate glacier in China aswell as thebestknown mountain glacier in theworld. While according to the observation, Hailuogou glacier has been retrea-ting for a h

14、undred years, it is necessary to restrain the glacier retreat continuously. First themain geological fea-tures of theHailuogou glacierare introduced in 3 aspects: scale, structure and distribution of the glacier, its form-ing process and themass balance condition are discussed. Based on 3 factorswhi
