To what extent do you agree or disagree?People naturally differ in their opinions regarding the importance of planning for their future. There are some people who spend

2、 a significant amount of time drafting out plans with long term goals, while there are others are who are quite content to live from one day to the next. In my opinion, planning offers more benefits than anything else because it creates a goal to aim for.Devising a plan means that one is likely to b

3、enefit more fully from life, as all opportunities are considered and prioritized. Planning ahead helps to anticipate potential problems and find early solutions. Furthermore, a plan helps to ensure that time is managed more effectively and allows the person to apportion a certain amount of time to c

4、ertain activities. This in the end results in tasks getting completed in a timely manner and to the persons satisfaction. Without a plan, long-term goals will be harder to reach, such as educational goals, career goals and the purchase a house. These activities require a number of planned steps in o

5、rder to be achieved. If a person is well organized, he or she will have a strategy ready in case of ill health or when retirement is nearing. For someone who has not planned for these events, they are less likely to run smoothly, but will cause stress to those concerned. All things considered, there

6、 is little doubt about the advantages of planning. It will lead to a less stressful and more easily manageable life, where long term goals are more likely to be achieved.Nowadays there is a trend that reports from the media focus on problems and emergencies rather than positive developments. Some pe

7、ople think this is harmful both to individuals and to society in general. To what extent do you agree or disagree?There is no denying the fact the news is designed to attract attention and it often seems sensational. An aircraft crash may attract more viewers and listeners than a car crash on a loca

8、l highway, yet the latter is much more common. A tsunami which causes considerable human tragedy is more sensational than a swimmer who dies in a surfing accident at a local beach. With continual focus on the negative side of news events, people may well feel demoralised about the society they live

Human beings are resilient when it comes to handling bad events, but this doesnt mean it is normal to always be exposed to problems and emergencies. Life is

10、 usually a mix of events, some good, some bad. In both these different kinds of situations people react in their own way. If they continually have to show negative emotions as a way of handling problems and emergencies reported by the media, then they will begin to feel negative about life in genera

11、l. This could lead to depression and even illness if nothing positive is ever reported. There is some truth in the old saying that a happy person is a healthy person.Moreover, if there is nothing reported that is good, people may have a poor view of their future. They may think that they could exper

12、ience a bad event directly at any time, such as an accident, an illness or even a landslide or tsunami. Society itself may be burdened with all the problems associated with a depressed society, such as suicide and depression which are not easy to fix.All things considered, if the media continues onl

13、y to report on problems and emergencies, then either people will no longer bother to listen or they will become a burden to society as depression sets in.Some people think that robots are very important to human future development others think they are dangerous and have negative effects on society.

14、 Discuss both opinions and give your personal view.With the advancement of technology, many areas of society have been taken over by the use of non human help. Factories and places of production now often use robotic technology to undertake monotonous tasks that the human hand used to do, such as fi

15、lling tins and packets and assembling components on a production line. Overall, this is beneficial to society as jobs get done far faster with less likelihood of error. However, the worker loses contact with the meaning of the job as he or she just operates a machine and does not feel part of the en

16、d product. Relieving the worker of involvement in a dusty, dirty factory of the past and leaving these jobs to robots is far better.Some robotic tasks may take away the monotony of work, while speeding up the production and diagnostic processes. At the same time, those who manage the machines no lon

The rise of technology and the use of robots to undertake tasks has taken away the need for the human hand to be close to the most polluting parts of a factory.On the other hand, robots have taken on the role of artisans of the past who carefully made products by hand and could sta

21、hat human beings thrive off success, but may fall to their knees and lose hope if they are unable to achieve it. Being ambitious means different things to different people. Overall, it is positive because it gives a person a potential to look forward to. Without ambition, there is little to focus on

22、 in life.Everyone needs goals in order for them to gain the most out of life. It could be related to a career goal or the desire to become famous or even become rich. All these aims mean that a person should strive to reach them and be ambitious too. Becoming a famous tennis player is ambitious, bec

23、ause it is competitive. If this status is reached, it provides a positive role for the winner. If someone never strives for success, he or she may feel more negative about life because a goal is lacking. Ambition provides a positive focus for life in general. Something that lights up a persons eyes

24、each day as he or she works towards the ambition, each day gets them closer to their goal and a sense of achievement is felt. The person who has no ambition has little or no focus and life changes little from day to day leaving a sense of hopelessness and negativity in the person. Once the true goal

It may not be the fault of the less ambitious person but he or she may continue to struggle to find a suitable position in society.
