2、 orange solution was used as a model reactant and the photocatalytic activity of methyl orange was investigated in La 3 + - doped TiO 2 powder suspension by UV- lamp. The results showed that the addition of La 3 + to TiO 2 enhanced its photocatalytic activity, and the optimum dipped content of La 3
3、+ was 0 . 5% , the optimum value of the calcinations temperature was 500 . Under the condition of amount of photocatalyst was 4. 0 g/L, initial pH was 3 . 12 and air flow was 800mL/min, the degradation rate of methyl orange was 97. 5% by 20W UV-lamp irradiated 60min.
