3、ection 1: Membership:1.1: New Members Any male, aged 14 17, who is willing to accept the Promise and Law will be accepted under Scouts Canada policy. 1.2: Prospective Members Any registered youth may choose to bring a pre-approved prospective guest to any formal or informal meeting which is held at
4、Trinity United Church. The guest must fit the description of a new member and show an interest in joining the unit in the near future. The approval of the guest will be at the discretion of the executive council. 1.3: Returning Members:After the first meeting of the new Scouting year, any members wh
5、o choose not to return will be phoned and formally invited back.Section 2:Executive Committee:2.1: President The president will be responsible for preparing the weekly agenda, presiding over formal and informal meetings, aid all fund raising monies raised and credited to my account will remain withi
6、n the 13th Scouting Troop and thus property of the 13th Windsor Venturer Company at the commencement of the following scout year.3.3: Unit Finances Once a year, the unit will hold a mandatory fundraiser in which all members must attend. The profits from this event will go into the Unit Finances and
7、will be used for Group expenses such as craft supplies, badges and equipment. All Unit financial decisions will be voted on only during formal meetings in which at least two thirds of the unit are present. Section 4:Meetings:4.1: Uniform The Scout uniform, which will include (shirt, epaulets, necker
8、, woggle) must be worn for all formal meetings, camps, public activities, etc. All other meeting our unit tee shirts will be acceptable. .4.2: Meetings Our first meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of every month September till June inclusive, and will be the formal meeting. We will hold a m
9、inimum of 2 meetings a month, including; one community service event, one activity outside the usual venue, one formal meeting and one other every other month. If activity is planned, Venture group must be notified the week ahead. 4.3: Procedure for Formal Meetings Every formal meeting will follow t
10、he outline below.- President calls the meeting to order- Introduction of new members and guests- Treasures Report- Secretary will read minutes from previous meeting- Unfinished business- New business- Event Planner will go over the upcoming schedule- Adjournment4.4: VotingIf a Venture does not atten
11、d to a meeting, they do not get a vote that week. Voting take place during formal meeting only, unless extenuating circumstances. If a tie breaker is needed, a representative from both sides will present their position to the current Scout Leader who will in turn break the tie. 4.5: Conduct In the e
12、vent of unacceptable behaviour (verbal, physical or any form of) as viewed by any Advisor(s) or attending Adult(s), or actions deemed to put others at risk or injury, the youth or adult in question will be immediately sent home. The offender will only be allowed to return to Venturer functions after
13、 this situation has been worked out in person with all parties involved, including a representative from the 13th Windsor Scouting Group Committee if required.Section 5:Other Information:5.1: Photo Release This paragraph confirms the agreement between you and Boy Scouts of Canada (Scouts Canada) reg
14、arding your participation in approved Scouts Canada activities in which you may be photographed or videotaped (the Property) from time to time. For valuable consideration received, you hereby irrevocably grant to Scouts Canada perpetually, exclusively, and for all media throughout the world (includi
15、ng print, non-theatrical, home video, CD-ROM, internet and any other electronic medium presently in existence or invented in the future), the right to use and incorporate (alone or together with other materials), in whole or in part, photographs or video footage taken of you as a result of your part
16、icipation in approved activities of Scouts Canada. You hereby agree that you will not bring or consent to others bringing claim or action against Scouts Canada on the grounds that anything contained in the Property, or in the advertising and publicity used in connection herewith, is defamatory, refl
17、ects adversely on you, violates any other right whatsoever, including, without limitation, rights of privacy and publicity. You hereby release Scouts Canada, its directors, officers, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, suits, costs, expens
18、es, liabilities, and damages whatsoever that you may hereafter have against Scouts Canada in connection with the Property. This photo release agreement shall not obligate Scouts Canada to use the Property or to use any of the rights granted hereunder, or to prepare, produce, exhibit, distribute or e
19、xploit the Property. Scouts Canada shall have the right to assign its rights hereunder, without your consent, in whole or in part, to any person, firm or corporation.5.2: Medical Release Experience has shown that in connection with scouting activities there are times when illness and/or an accident
20、may occur and immediate medical attention is necessary. The Scouter(s) in charge can and will make arrangements for qualified medical attention for my child/ward in the event of any medical emergency without necessity of my prior approval. I understand that I will be notified by the quickest means p
21、ossible if this authority is exercised.5.3: Amending Document Changes to the 13th Venture Document can only be done within a formal meeting, and must be pre planned as to allow all members to be present. Any changes must be voted on and receive a minimum of approval. *By signing your name below you
