1、教学设计Using Language:Listening and speaking整体设计教材分析We will mainly deal with listening and speaking in this period.At the beginning,the teacher should focus on training students listening.This listening content is about how the idea of gravity has developed over a long period of time.Make sure students

2、 go through the exercises before they listen to the tape.This is to sharpen their attention and listen for the answers.It will also help them get the gist of the listening text.The teaching procedures may be as follows:First,let students look at these pictures and in pairs discuss what they know abo

3、ut the three scientists and their ideas on gravity.Second,go through the exercises and guess what the listening text may be about.Play the tape for students to listen and decide whether their guessing is right.Third,ask them to listen again to do Exercises 2 and 3.Fourth,let them listen a third time

4、 to check their answers.While they are listening,the teacher should pause and repeat the key sentences to help students understand.When checking the answers,explain some difficult listening points if necessary.In the end,show them the listening text and let them read and retell it.This step can help

5、 students understand and grasp the listening material far further.Next,students will listen to a famous reporter,Mr.Renaults interview with Yang Liwei and part of Professor Wallis interview with Li Yanping,the famous astronomer,about his first space walk.The teacher can let students read the directi

6、ons and go through the exercises before listening.Then ask them to listen to the tape and finish their exercises.They should make notes while listening.When students listen to the text,tell them to ignore the words they dont know and to concentrate on understanding the gist of the text.After practic

7、ing listening,students are expected to learn some expressions about how to give instructions for now space travelers who want to go on a trip into space.During the course,the teacher should rank class activities from the easy to the difficult.First,ask them to learn the expressions.Then,let them rea

8、d the expressions aloud and have a short dialogue.Finally,they are expected to create a dialogue to give a set of instructions.Speaking is a very important skill.We should try our best to encourage students to say something.Dont always correct the mistakes they have made while they are speaking.Othe
