6、并讲解课文，使学生对课文能有更深刻、全面地了解。由于课文是故事性文章，易懂。具体处理见链接 1课本第 188 页 The History of Magazine。课本第 176 页-Highlights 部分2 Listening 作为教材第 182 页的听力部分，A1 是关于一本杂志的问卷调查，通过听力训练，可以让学生了解到杂志出版及影响杂志销售的几个因素。为后面的口语活动作了铺垫。课文第 182 页Listening Practice A13 Speaking 以“杂志”为主题设计口语活动。活动一： 让学生介绍自己喜欢的杂志。活动二：在班级内将学生分组，课前布置进行一次市场调查，研究不同年
7、龄层次的男女生喜爱的杂志名称，价格，版块，杂志的作用等。将调查的数据资料整理归类，做成报告。链接 2活动三：利用整理好的资料，在组内分配编辑，记者，摄影等工作，让学生设计一份杂志此活动适合层次较好的学生在课后完成。课文第 184 页Speaking Practice4 Writing 本部分内容运用连词写结论句可以让学生自习完成，可以通过给编辑的一封信的形式。让学生给自己喜爱的杂志写一封信，提出对杂志的意见或建议。写作中鼓励学生运用学总结句的技巧完成作文。课文第 186 页Writing 部分5 Structure -ing 分词的复习是本课的语法教学内容。教师可通过“句型操练” 、“句型转换
