What is the accurate connotation of Educational Informatization on ear

4、th?Although many scholars make earnest discussion to this concept, and elaborate characteristics of that at different angles, regrettably, these discussions generally are limited to its individual characteristic or certain characteristics, not yet define the term accurately, that is, the basic conno

5、tation of educational informatization is not defined exactly. 6、n and application of education technology. The two concepts have close relation without doubt, but we cannot equate with them. The other is between educational informatization and application of information technology. The relation between educational informatization and application of IT in educati

7、on is closer than it between educational informatization and application of education technology in education. But analysis below indicates that the connotation of educational informatization can cover that of application of IT in education, while its difficult for the latter connotation to complete

8、ly include former.Its necessary to make clarity of that in order to ensure a right understanding of the facts.,The New Phase of Educational Informatization,北京师范大学现代教育技术研究所,6,The basic connotation of Educational InformatizationAccording to the explanation in the Modern Chinese Dictionary, the charact

9、er hua can be added as the suffix after a noun or an adjective, which then becomes a verb indicating a transformation into a kind of state. But it needs more expansions and supplements. We believe that, the character “hua” added as the suffix after a noun or an adjective may form a verb, but the imp

10、lication of this verb is by no means like the explanation in the Modern Chinese Dictionary, which has only one implication, that is, “transforming into a kind of state. In fact, there are two different implications. The first is that, after “hua” is added after an adjective, the adjective becomes a

11、new verb, which is generally a transitive verb. The meaning of the transitive verb is to make its object (direct object) to have the characters described by the adjective, for example, green(motherland), beautify (something), uglify, strengthen, weaken, deepen, lighten , and etc. The second is that,

12、 after the suffix “hua” is added to a noun, the noun then becomes a new verb, which generally is an intransitive verb. The connotation and the function of the noun expand, and are manifested in a broader scope, such as the industrialization, the mechanization, the internetization, the intellectualiz

13、ation, and so on. 14、ion so that information can be embodied in a broader scope. Information Technology is about how to gain, analyze, store, transform, process, transmit and utilize information, it also fully manifests and further expands the connotation and the function of “information”. Therefore, informatizition als

15、o is regarded as “information technologization”, whose implication is to make the connotation and the function of “information technology expand. Thus, the connotation of compound term composed by education and informatization” is the universal application and popularization in the field or departme

17、application and popularization in the field of instruction and education or department of instruction and education. Educational Informatization is referred to the universal application and popularization of both information and information technology in instruction and education, not the applicatio

The application and popularization of information technology cover two categories, field of instruction and education, department of instruction and education (instruction applications are paid more emphasis in former

22、 90s to the beginning of the 21st century and its main characteristic is as follow:The construction of educational informatization focuses on building the hardware and software infrastructure. (national education network or national education and research network, city area education network, campus

23、 network, multimedia classroom and so on).Education Technology is applied to all-round aspects educational and instructional process by teachers and the administration and the teaching management by education department. However, the application in this stage is not yet thorough, and the focus of ap

25、 is paid to the application after class or before class (for example WebQuest and Just in time). Less attention is paid to the application in class (namely the application of Information and Information Technology to classroom teaching), especially the western countries.The speed and the scale of in

26、frastructure construction are stressed, and the useful applications of educational informatization are explored. Its main characteristics are as follows: The focuses of educational informatization construc

28、tion are on educational resources, the discipline instruction resources (including curriculum based on network and related learning material) ,resource management platform, and the supporting platform of teaching based on network. The application of educational informatization has gradually shifted

The theory must explain the goal and significance of integration (why integration should be implemented?), the definition and connotation (whats the integration?), approaches and methods (how to integrate?).T

36、here have been some in-depth studies in theory of integration about the former two aspects currently, which can explain what the integration is and why integration should be implemented.
