Remove the splint after 8 weeks postoperatively.,Clinical material,Our department treat 25 cases(34 feets) with DC Hallux Splint from November 2001December 2005. Male 10 cases(12 feets), fem
3、ale 15 cases(22 feet). Mean age 54 years (range 4675 years) Unilateral 18 cases and bilateral 8 cases. The postoperative radiological evaluation revealed an average intermetatarsal angle of 11 (range, 4-16 ) and a Hallux valgus angle of 32 (range, 41-25).,Results,The mean follow-up time is 30 months
4、(from 20 to 45months). The mean fracture healing time is one month. The Maryland metatarsal-tarsal joint scores are as following: 29 toes scored 90100(85.29%), 3 toes scored 8089(11.76%), 1 toe scored 7079(3.0%). The percentage of excellent and good is 97.05%.
