The reason for the steering wheel not returning to center was discussed based on the analysis for returning
14、 moments. Then the power and torque signal change pattern during returning travel was studied. An active returning method was proposed in this paper, in which the holding torque before returning was used as the returning characteristic parameter to determine the motor current and its duration time,
15、and the change of torque signal from nonzero to zero was used as criteria to determine the returning state.
