1、BEC 中级写作指导BEC 中级考试写作部分共由 2 篇文章组成,写作时间为 45 分钟。第一篇文章的文体要求一般为 Memo、Note、Message 和 email 中的一种。其中常考内容主要是公司内部的交流,比如:经理出差前给秘书留的便条。字数要求:4050词,语言要求:中性或偏非正式。第二篇文章的文体要求是Correspondence、Report 和 Proposal 中的一种。其中常考内容侧重于本公司与公司外部人员的交流,即 Correspondence,比如:给投诉的顾客回信解释并致歉。字数要求:120140 词,语言要求:中性或偏正式。这其中有两个问题需要注意:一是 45 分钟
2、的合理分配最好是:第一篇文章花 1215 分钟;第二篇文章花 3033 分钟,这样才能保证每一篇文章的完成质量。二是字数的上限问题。BEC 中级写作与四、六级考试的不同点之一在于,前者在字数规定上存在上限,但并不是说超过了这个字数就要扣分。如果文章主题正确、条理清楚,内容充实,即使超过了所要求字数的上限也不会被扣分;但如果考生是为了凑字数而超过上限,或光写空话,文章重点不明,逻辑混乱,此时就会被酌情扣分。评分标准两篇作文的原始分分别为 10 分和 20 分,不过最后的成绩单上出现的会是等级(Band),Band 5 为最高级,Band 0 为最低级。等级和分数之间的对应关系是:Band 5 对
3、应第一篇文章的 910 分,第二篇文章的 1820 分;Band 4 对应第一篇的文章 78 分,第二篇文章的 1416 分;Band 3 对应第一篇文章56 分,第二篇文章的 1012 分。Band 3 为及格分。另外需要大家注意的是,考纲中专门有一个 Band 0 的评分标准。其中很重要的三个评判标准分别是:文不对题;字数少于规定字数的 25%;字迹不清。下面我们来详细分析一下评分标准下的各项评分要求:1、既定格式商务英语写作不像四、六级考试写作有多种文体,其只考查应用文。应用文都有本身的既定格式,所以格式自然是评卷人最基本的考核标准之一。有一个要点是所有的写作考试都通用的,那就是所犯错误
4、越低级,被扣分数就越多,因此在商务英语写作中,不仅单词拼写错误和语法错误要扣分,格式错了也会招来重量级的减分。2、内容要求内容要求包含两个方面:一是内容的广度;一是内容的深度。所谓内容的广度就是文章内容包括且仅需包括题干所要求表达的信息点;内容的深度则指每一个信息点可以挖掘的合理深度。第一章格式问题1. 格式问题:请同学们在 bec 的写作中采用平头式的写法。收信人的姓名和地址置于信纸的左上方地址、称呼和结束礼词后没有标点符号日期在右上方段落从定格开始,段落之间的行距为两行(但在考试中由于受答题卡限制,请同学们酌情考虑)写信人的名字和头衔在签名下方2. 称呼和结束礼词的注意事项:称呼的写法遵循

6、s Smith Yours sincerelyDear John Best wishes以下均为错误用法:Dear Mr JohnDear Mr John Smith3. 日期:在英国英语中,天在前,但是在美国英语中,月份在前。所以某些特别的时期容易引起误解。例如:12 06 2003在英国指的是:6 月 21 日在美国指的是:12 月 6 日因此日期要写成:12 June 2003注释:在 bec 考试中同学们可以采用恩波所推荐的用法。但是 12 06 2003 的用法仍然是可以使用的,因为 bec 为英版考试。在使用恩波推荐的用法时,要记住月份使用大些字母开头。天后不必写th、rd、nd
