Warm up(10mins) A)A game :“Do you know what it is?”a).students write the names of buildings they know on paper. b).they volunteer

5、 to describe the buildings with some simple word without the names of the buildings and let others guess what it is. B) Teacher summarizes, and writes the words on board.Step2. Learn the new passage(15mins)A) Students listen to the tapes and find the names of buildings on the town and cities. Teache

B) Students read the book with teacher and focus on the structure there be.Teacher introduce the past and present tense, the negation form and the question form of there be and explain its using.Step3. A task: Use what is leaned to do an interview (10mins)

One is to be reporter and another interviewee. then ask and answer the question to find out information about the change of places. B)Volunteers to paraphrase and present the result.Step4. summarize (10mins) Teacher summarize students role playing, and have an overview of the important grammar and vocabulary.Homework assignmentsInterview your elders about the change of the city you live and present a interview report.After class reflection:(to be written immediately after the lesson)
