Each body paragraph includes three parts:an introduction supporting evidence conclusion e.g. (1 )With the first Europeans came to the North American continent, they encountered the completely new cultures of the Native American peoples of North America. (2 ) Native Americans, who had h

3、ighly developed cultures in many respects, must have been as curious about the strange European manners and customs as the Europeans were curious about them. (3 )As always happens when two or more cultures come into contact, there was a culture exchanges. (4 )Native Americans adopted some of the Eur

4、opeans ways, and the Europeans adopted some of their ways. (5 ) As a result, Native American have made many valuable contributions to modern U.S. culture, particularly in the areas of language, art, food, and government.Body Paragraph 1 : First, Native Americans left a permanent mark on the English

5、Language.Body Paragraph 2 :Art is another area of important Native American contribution.Body Paragraph 3 :Agriculture is another area in which Native Americans had a great and lasting influence on the peoples who arrived here from Europe, Africa, and Asia.Body Paragraph 4 :Citizens of the United St

6、ates are also indebted to the native people for our form of government.1. Formulate an introductory sentence for each paragraph. e.g. First, native Americans left a permanent mark on the English Language. II: How to Write a Body Paragraph Try to summarize the point in a succinct way in one sentence,

7、 without going into specific detail. e.g. II: How to Write a Body Paragraph 2. Bring in the evidence you are using to support your main point. Give specific information that highlights the point you are making. Be clear about how the evidence relates to your point, and how the examples illustrate th

8、e argument you make through your essay. e.g. The early English-speaking settlers borrowed from several different Native American names. For example, the states of Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, and Alabama are named after Native American tribes, as are the cities of Chicago, Miami, and Spokane. In additi

9、on to place name, English adopted from various Native American languages the words for animals and plants found in the Americas, Chipmunk, moose, raccoon, skunk, tobacco, and squash are just a few examples. II: How to Write a Body Paragraph This sentence should wrap up the point you have presented i

III: Cohesion between the Paragraphs After finishing each body paragraph, you have to put them together. linking paragraphs with transitions helps your reader see how subtopics are related. Make Good Use of Transition Signals in the Graph:
