12、n the hill. Continue straight thru the lighted intersection. (Note, when you pass the intersection you are now on Middletown Road). The Church is immediately on the left. It is less than 1 mile after exiting the Parkway.From the South take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 114. Exit the Parkway

Our purpose is to maintain and promote our Norwegian heritage through our painting and carving. We are planning a few events throughout the year tha
27、t everyone can enjoy, a Nordic Fest is is scheduled for June 6, 2009 at Nor- Bu Lodge. Lessons can be now be arranged for those that want to learn at $ 20.00 each session.We are also seek
28、ing donations of materials, brushes, paint etc. to compile a tool chest that will be available for students use at class. Vernon, NY passed away Friday morning Feb. 20th at home in Georgetown DE surrounded by family.Mrs. Leggat was born in Manda
38、l, Norway June 17th, 1921. Daughter of the late Julius & Agnes Samuelsen. She graduated from Cliffside Park High School, NJ. In 1941 graduated from Norwegian Lutheran Hospital Nursing School Brooklyn, NY. Mrs. Leggat served in WWII- Ensign-Navy Nurse Corp USA in 1943 where she fell in love. Married
39、on Oct. 30,1943 in Denville, NJ to the late Alexander W. Leggat former Fire Chief of Mt. Vernon. Gladys and Wally raised their family in the town they loved for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter Elaine Margaret Tober and son Alexander W. Leggat II. Mrs. Leggat was proud of her
40、 career as a Registered Nurse. She was honored by the Sons of Norway-Nor-Bu-Lodge as the oldest charter member. She enjoyed her time spent swimming and dining with friends at New York Athletic Club, Travers Island. Survived by brother Norman Samuelsen, brother in law Francis M. Tober, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her new kitten Puss Puss.Friends may call for viewing at Pelham Funeral Home Friday Feb. 27th 5:00-7:30 pm with a prayer service following.
