3、ember that the dream of becoming a real human resource manager began to grow inside me after reading some books about Human Resource Management in China and in some foreign countries.A prestigious institution of higher learning, XXX University is located in Guangdong, one of Chinas southern province
4、s and one of the earliest that has benefited from the “reform and open-door” policy. It is honored as one of the top 100 universities of the 21st century in China. Thus, my education is characterized by indisputable excellence. In my undergraduate studies, I have had broad academic interests, althou
5、gh I am majoring in economics. I read academic journals regularly, both Chinese and International, to keep up with the latest developments in economics and other related fields. I have devoted considerable time to learning such subjects as management and law to satisfy my interest in Human Resource
6、Management. After a lot of readings, I have come to know about people, human resources, how to make organizations more aware of the importance of human resources; being an employee in the business of people - these things are common in our modern society. Human Resource Management is specifically ch
7、arged with programs concerned with people- the employees. It is the function performed in organizational and individuals goals. Human resource management consists of numerous activities, including “equal employment opportunity (EEO) compliance; job analysis; human resource planning and employee recr
8、uitment, selection, motivation, and orientation; performance evaluation and compensation; training and development; labor relations; and safety, health, and wellness etc. In recognition of my academic performance and other strengths, I have won many honors and accolades during my studies. In 2003 an
9、d 2004 I won the Excellence Social Activities Student for two consecutive years. Campus life is colorful and I have taken the advantages of all the opportunities to enrich myself. I was elected the Vice-Secretary-General of the Students Union, becoming the most prominent female student leader on cam
10、pus at that time. This position gave me a platform, which not only enriched my student life, but also improved my ability in many ways particularly in leadership and communication. There is no doubt that those abilities are important to the human resource manager. Though I have not had any academic
11、background in Human Resource Management, my undergraduate experiences can provide me with a special perspective and sufficient analytic skills to solve problems in my future study.In my second academic year, with the help of my teacher in logistics and my cousin, I studied the modern logistics indus
12、try in China in comparison with the advanced countries. In my article, “XXX”, I made an analysis of the future modern logistics industry in China, especially under the E-Business. Fortunately my article was published in one of the popular academic magazines in China. Such background will benefit me
13、a lot in my future study and research. The reason why I want to go to the United Kingdom to study Human Resource Management is that the history of Human Resource Management has its origin in England. This field saw further development with the arrival of the Industrial Revolution in the latter part
14、of the 18th century. The dynamic creative industry in this country really attracts me a lot. I am attracted to your department with its brilliant faculty and its research thematic areas are exactly what I am interested in. To fulfill my career goal, I intend to pursue my master program and further m
15、y study in a program best fit for me. After I finish my study, I will come back to China and serve my country as an employee in Human Resource Management.
