Maybe you will be puzzled that why I choose “Urumqi” as the topic of my presentation, because it is my hometown which is a far but a very beautiful and attractive place.,“Urumqi” in Zunghar & Mong
2、olian means “beautiful pasture”. It is located in the north of Tianshan mountain and the grassland zone. Urumqi is the farthest city from the ocean in the world. In A.D.702, the Tang Dynasty here stationed troops, grew grain, built castles and so on. Gradually, it became the necessary way of the nor
3、th Silk Road. The Qing built the new town in Qianlong 28 (1763), named “Dihua“. In 1884, Xinjiang built a province, Dihua did the provincial capital. Build a city in 1945 , the government switched over to use Urumqi to fit in 1953. 乌鲁木齐在准噶尔蒙古语，是“优美的牧场”之意。它位于天山北麓草原地带，东临天山东段最高峰博格达峰，南依连绵千里的天山林带，西、北紧靠准噶

It is occupied by 13 nations. Except
5、the Han nationality, the city has Uigur , the Hui Nationality , Kazakhstan, Manchu, Xibe , Mongols , Khalkhas and so on. At present, there is 49 national minorities in Urumqi. The days of spring and autumn are short and of sum
7、mer and winter are long. The difference of day and night is very big. As the saying goes “早穿棉袄午穿纱，围着火炉吃西瓜“, it is describing the difference in temperature of Urumqi. Annual average amount of precipitation is 194 millimeters. The warmest average temperature in August is 25.7 C, and the coldest averag
8、e temperature in January is -15.2 C. From June to October of every year is the gold season of touring, because the melons and fruits are overflowing and the flowers and trees are competing for being gorgeous.,Resources,1.Land General area of Urumqi is 12000 square kilometers. There are various lands
9、, including arable land, garden plot, grassland and so on. The unutilized land is about 15. 13% of the total area. 2. Mineral At present, it has been found 29 kinds of minerals, 129 places of ore fields, and 30 big or medium-sized mineral deposits. It has coal , petroleum , copper , jade, manganese
10、, iron , gold , stone material , sandstone , clay , salt , mirabilis , mineral water etc. Coal resources amounts to 10 billion tons. 3. Forest Urumqi has the relatively advantage of forest resources in xinjiang, and the forest coverage rates is equivalent to 3 times of entire forest coverage rates o
11、f Xinjiang. It mainly has spruce , Tianshan Mountains birch , dense Ye Yang , white elm(雪岭云杉、天山桦、密叶杨、白榆) etc. 4.Plant Saussurea is most famous plant. It is very beautiful and very good to peoples health. Besides it, there are many other plants which can eat, for medicine, for industry and so on. 5.A

Luckily, it has many other forms water, such as abundant

It has already opened more than 100 international , domestic and inner areas air-lines. The Urumqi railway station is the key of general Xinjiang railroad , and it is also the importa
14、nt passenger and goods distributing center between China and Central Asia areas. It goes straight to more than 40 international and homeland trains. The highway and the city road have formed the network, linking inside and outside , traversing the north and south traffic with great facilities of com

Urumqi owns more than

It provides good investment cooperation environment for the traveling merchants all around the world. Owning the perfect commerce
