The inaugural meeting of the G-20 took place in Berlin, on December 15-16, 1999, hosted by German and Canadian finance ministers.,,,Membership,,,,,Leadership Summits,As there were economic crisis from 2007 to 2010,

3、the G20 held Leadership Summits to discuss the countermeasures since 2008. And the summits would be held twice a year since 2009. The second purpose of the Summit is to change the situation that no new Industrial countries were included in the global economy and management of the past meetings.,,,Fr

Accordingly, the G20 Summits have been held in Washington in 2008, in London and Pittsburgh in 2009, and in Toronto and Seoul in 2010.,,Achievements,The conce

7、 G7 (also known as the G-7) is the meeting of the finance ministers from a group of seven industrialized nations. It was formed in 1976, when Canada joined the Group of Six: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and United States. The finance ministers of these countries meet several times

8、a year to discuss economic policies. Their work is supported by regular, functional meetings of officials, including the G7 Finance Deputies.,,Group of Seven,It is not to be confused with the G8, which is the annual meeting of the heads of government of the aforementioned nations, plus Russia.,,The

9、group of eight,The Group of Eight (G8, and formerly the G6 or Group of Six and also the G7 or Group of Seven) is a forum, created by France in 1975, for governments of six countries in the world: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 1976, Canada joined the gro

10、up (thus creating the G7). In becoming the G8, the group added Russia in 1997. In addition, the European Union is represented within the G8, but cannot host or chair. foreign ministers, or G8 environment ministers.,,G8,“G8“ can refer to the member states or to the annual summit meeting of the G8 hea

11、ds of government. The former term, G6, is now frequently applied to the six most populous countries within the European Union. G8 ministers also meet throughout the year, such as the G7/8 finance ministers (who meet four times a year), G8 foreign ministers, or G8 environment ministers.,G8Each calend

12、ar year, the responsibility of hosting the G8 rotates through the member states in the following order: France, United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada. The holder of the presidency sets the agenda, hosts the summit for that year, and determines which ministerial mee

13、tings will take place.,,Lately, both France and the United Kingdom have expressed a desire to expand the group to include five developing countries, referred to as the Outreach Five (O5) or the Plus Five: Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and South Africa.
