18、he need for Cylinder oil: Cleaning by the detergency: Test has proved that the cleaning is done satisfactory at least down to 0.60 g/kWh using todays high quality cylinder oils. Lubrication. Test have proved that the optimum oil film is obtained at 0.60 g/kWh, and that higher dosages do not lead to

19、higher oil film thickness. Neutralising the remaining sulphuric acid condensed on the liner wall by means of the alkalinity in the oil (CaCO3).
