10、is selected. Then all 125 units are subjected to the test.Test 1: Insulation ResistanceMeasured 100Mohms between live andbody, with the switch ON. DC voltage applied 500V. (Pass range: 7Mohms to 100Mohms)Test 2: Electric StrengthBetween live plug pins and body, with the switch ON Applied voltage 400
11、0V AC for 2 Secs. Overcurrent trip relay 5mA. Result, no breakdown or flashoverRecord the results for each unit tested (Pass or Fail)Record the calibration date on the machine(s) and equipment used and review the calibration certificate(s). 19、ource and burn-in for 10 mins (continuous running). The switch should show no sign of becoming intermittent. Allow the unit to rest for 2 mins and repeat the test. Disconnect from supply.Fit all the accessories, confirm that they are secure and that the handle is adjustable.Extend the telescopic han
20、dle 20 times from the lowest to the highest settings. Conduct this test rapidly and with force.Connect the unit to a suitable power source and operate the switch 25 times running the unit for 10secs on each switch depression.Operating switch: Tension to be 1.5 to 1.8 kgFunctional Testing Procedure P
21、hase 3Select 5 units (use those from phase 2) from the sample and perform the following test.Remove all the fixing screws and open the two halves of the molding.Confirm that the mains switch is an approved type and that all the connections are secure.Inspect the power leads to the motor particularly
22、 as they pass through the height adjuster section of the molding. No trapping or damage to the wire should be evident.Inspect the motor and connections. Ensure all connections are secure and positive. The motor windings should be bright, clean and well dressed. The motor should turn easily and freel
23、y with no resistance.Field testTake 5% of sample, using 250V:Bump/feed test: Half of the sample, fully feed out the complete spool by bumping and running strimmer, comfirm the spool can fully empty(the lines run out with no remains)Cut grass: Half of the sample, cut grass for 15 mins non stop, do no
