Before this show there were doubts about the potential attendance, following the withdrawal of Saurer and Rieter, due to the knock-on affect of SARS (Saurer And Rieter Syndrome).2. Overall, the following major competitions were absent:B

Lezzeni claimed “The best ever”.4. Apart from the SSM UNIPLEX, there were no major innovations this time, although the Electroje

Other Observations:Foreign fibre detection is still “the flavour of the month”; with more companies becoming involved.Nearly all ring frame manufacturers are offering optional slubbing mechanisms, made easy by introduction of servo motors for the draftin
4、g system drives.There seems to be a revival of interest in reelling machines, new models by Motocono, R.I.T.E., and Fadis.There were some very good stands by Indian exhibitors (L.M.W., Premier, I.CC.) who were showing equipment which is available, not just prototypes.6. Due to the size of the exhibi
