22、g to Dalian this year.今年我将去大连,而不去青岛。以上两句意思虽然相同,但用 instead 这个副词时,句子中的动作是被 “取 ”的,即要去做的,而用 instead of 时, of 后面的动是被 “舍 ”的,即不去做的。不过,用 instead 的句子也可以改成 instead of:She never studies. Instead, she plays tennis all day. Instead of studying , she tennis all days. 她成天打网球,而不是学习。Phrases 离开,Two prisoners got away

Summary of the textThere are three key points in this text:1. You can never really learn to

30、speak a foreign language, or understand it when it is spoken, unless you can learn to think in the language.2. Learning to think in a new language means learning to associate a new sound with the idea or image of what it means. You practice to the point where the new sound takes on meaning for you.3
