、ne of terrorist attack in Syria. And as you can see from the video, the international situation is pretty turbulent. There exist a lot of problems all over the world! It is really necessary to establish an international organization to deal with these problems. And the United Nations is the most imp

、ortant organization which aims to handle international affairs. In the UN, the UN Security Council is the most important department that aims to maintain world peace and security. Recently, in the UN Security Council meeting, China and Russia both gave a negative vote to a draft resolution about Syr

、ias Problem, and this draft wasnt passed. Actually, if only one of the two countries gives a negative vote, this draft resolution wont be passed either. So, why? Well, this is related to a very important political item and which is also our group presentation topic today:” the power of veto in the U

I think actually you can guess what it means from every single word of this phrase. Veto equals forbid or ban, and power equals right. So, the veto power means that every

、 a power tool of big counties in the world. So, it has caused really heated discussions all over the world. And I want to listen to your opinions now. So, do you think its fair that the five big countries to determine other countries fates with the veto power in their hands? Whether we need the veto

、 power today? Should we change the rule of voting in the UN Security Council and if we should, how? There are many questions that need to be considered. Maybe we can try to give some suggestions to make it better and more reasonable; we can try to improve it. For example, there can be some rules tha

、t limit the using times in a time period, like three times limitation per year per country. Of course, this is just an assumption. But, I believe that compared to using the veto power, the big countries should have more communication and understanding, after all, the United Nations was founded to maintain world peace and guarantee human rights! This is the end of our presentation, and I hope youve enjoyed it today! Now, does anyone have any questions? If there are no more questions, Ill stop here. Thanks very much for your attention!
