We hold strong po- sitions with antifoams, emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, dispersing aids, hydrophobing and wetting agents, softeners and radiation curable release coatings. O
4、ur broad product range, technological background and appli- cation know-how addresses several indus- tries like plastics, rubber, label, tape and re- lease liner manufacturing, construction, lubricants, agro, textile and tissue industry.3 Product Range The desired hydrophilicity or hydropho- bicity,
5、 softness and non-yellowing of or- ganic softeners can be achieved by careful selection of the oleochemical based alkyl chains, as well as by smart modeling or fine tuning of the respective chemical structures. We offer organic softener concentrates as raw materials to formulator customers. These co
6、ncentrates are suitable for the production of ready to use aqueous soft- ener dispersions for the softening of tex- tile goods. Further, our organic softener concen- trates are a versatile formulation basis when combined with other additives. They allow formulators to develop their own (proprietary)
7、 finishing auxiliaries with performance profiles adjusted to various specific requirements. The organic softener product range of Evonik Goldschmidt comprises mainly specialty cationics. In addition, we offer a non-ionic concentrate for further processing to pseudocationic softeners. Specialty organ
8、ics WaterOleochemical based alkyl chains N+ N+ N+ N+ N+4 Key Application Properties Due to the positive charge on the nitro- gen, our quaternaries are substantive to fibers and negatively charged textile sub- strates in general. From aqueous emul- sions or dispersions, the quats exhaust onto the fib
9、ers, allowing their application by padding and mainly by the exhaust method. Our organic quaternaries are stable to hydrolysis over a broad pH range, stable to acids, alkalies and electrolytes within the concentrations usually encountered in practice. Being cationics, they are com- patible with othe
10、r cationics, non-ionics and amphoterics, but not compatible with anionics and/or optical brighteners. The primary effect of our cationics on fabrics is softening. Hand and softness can be varied depending on the softener and textile substrate type. Further, our soften- ers have influence on the hydr
11、ophilicity or hydrophobicity of the treated fabric. We offer premium grades which assure a very good water absorbency of the treated fabric. Most of our softeners are non-yellowing on white goods or provide ozone fade re- sistance on indigo-dyed denim. In addition they provide an antistatic effect d
12、uring processing and on the treated fabric. The methosulfate quats are less corrosive as compared to common chloride quats.
