He says. （合并为复合句）He says (that) he wants to speak to the headmaster特别提醒： 从句的主语是 that 时，that 不能省略；主从句之间有插入语时， that 也不能省略；若出现两个或两个以上的 that 宾语从

4、会给我写信。【解读三】 宾语从句时态的选择宾语从句谓语动词的时态由主句谓语动词的时态决定：若主句为一般现在时或一般将来时，从句的谓语动词可根据具体情况选用相应的任何时态；若主句为一般过去时，从句要用相应的某种过去时态。如：We hope youll have a very happy year in our class. 我们希望你在我们班能度过无比快乐的一年。He said that he was mending his bike at that time他说那时候他正在修他的自行车。特别提醒：若从句表示的是客观事实、普遍真理、自然现象等时，从句的谓语动词不受主句时态的限制，只能用一般现在时
5、。如：The teacher told us yesterday that December 25 is Christmas Day. 老师昨天告诉我们十二月二十五日是圣诞节。【解读四】 宾语从句的否定转移如果主句的谓语动词是 think, guess, believe, suppose 等词时，且主句主语为第一人称，若后面的宾语从句要表示否定概念时，一般将否定词 not 转移到主句的谓语中，这种现象叫“否定转移” 。如：我相信他们不会来这里。一般不说：I believe they wont come here. 而说：I dont believe they will come here.二、
6、Whether/if 引导的宾语从句由 whether(if)引导的宾语从句，实际上是一般疑问句演变而来的。意思是“是否” 。宾语从句要用陈述句语序。一般说来，在宾语从句中 whether 与 if 可以互换使用，但在特殊情况下 if 与whether 是不能互换的。（1）I wonder whether(if) they will come to our party.（2）只能用 whether，不能用 if 引导的宾语从句在带 to 的不定式前：We decided whether to walk there.在介词的后面：Im thinking of whether we should
