Now I will say Lesson 17 in Unit 3.I prepare to say it from 5parts .Firstly, let me talk about the teaching material.Part One :Analysis of the teaching material.Sta

2、tus and functionsUnit 3 is mainly talking about animals, Lesson 17 is about pets, of all the animals, pets are the closest to humans, The topic is related to real life, and it is popular to keep pets, and students are interested in pets. Students can also improve their expressions and imagination an

3、d we can also cultivate their loving heart by this lesson. So lesson 17 is important in this unit. In one lesson we should establish key and difficult points, I will talk about them below.key points and difficult points1.Key points:Learning how to describe ones real or imaginary pet.Learning how to

4、make a dialogue about the topic “pet” 2.Difficult points:Learning how to make a dialogue about the topic “pet”Part Two: Teaching goals. Language goal1.New words :amazing ,pet, imaginary, lovely ,duck ,keep, goose.2.Key sentences:She likes to sleep in the sun.She plays with me when I come home from s

5、chool.I will keep it under my desk.I will need to plant a tree in my bedroom.Ability goal1. To enable students to describe their pets or imaginary pets.2. To train the ability of working in groups .Moral goalAccording to the lively teaching, improve their interests in English, and cultivate their lo

6、ving heart. Then let them love animals and protect them.I put up all the goals to let the students master the language points, at the same time, train their abilities of the four skills, in the usual teaching,teachers should pay attention to their moral education. Besides, a good way to achieve my g

7、oals is to use a proper teaching methods, I will talk about my teaching methods below.Part Three: Teaching methods and learning methodsAnalysis of the students:Students are the most important part in the class, so we should break traditional teaching methods, give the time in class back to the stude

8、nts, in this way we can excited their enthusiasm. Let them be the host in the class. I will use the following methods.teaching and learning methodsAbout teaching methods, the first one is giving them tasks, the second one is cooperation study by groups, the third is competition.About learning I will

9、 let them use listening, reading, self-study, result show, and acting out the dialogue, writing Part Four: Procedures of teaching and methodsStep I: Lead inTake some cards with animals ,such as cat, dog, fish, monkey, goose, duck, snake, ask them what it is one by one ,When the picture of duck comes

10、 out ,they may not know the spelling of duck, show it on the screen. Then say to them that some people regard them as pets, show pet on the screen. Then ask them: Whats your favorite animal? Why? Do you have a pet? why or why not? Some students may answer that their parents dont allow them to keep,

11、I will ask: why not keep an imaginary one? Show imaginary on the screen, Then tell them Danny has an imaginary pet ,Lets see what it is. My purpose is to let the Ss put their hearts into it quickly and show their love to the animals.Step II: ListeningPlay the tape, the first time, let them listen wi

12、th their books open, only listen, the second time, listen and follow the tape, try to let them understand the text After listening, let them fill in the blanks in a short dialogue. In order to improve their listening, I do this step.Step III;ReadingLet them read the text loudly ,When they are readin

13、g ,walk around the classroom ,If students have difficulties in understanding the dialogue, give them some help.My purpose is to practise their reading ability.Step IV:speaking After finishing reading, let them act out the text, Ask three students to act it out, then another three, then another three

14、, If necessary, ask more students,I do it to improve their speaking ability.Step IV :Show tasks.I will refine some language points ,put it on the computer ,there are six .Each group has a point. Then I will let them prepare to explain the points. They can use learning materials or dictionary. When t

15、hey are studying ,I will walk around the classroom to see if anyone or any groups have any difficulties, if yes, I will help them。I do this step to let them be active not be passive in study. Step V Result showI will ask students to explain the points, if it is difficult ,such as the uses of keep, I

16、 will let Number One do, If it is easy ,I will let Number 3 or 4 do. If they cant say it clearly, I add. And write on the blackboard. My purpose is to emphasize the key points and difficult points. The one who explains the best will get a flower including his team.I do it to let them have collective

17、 honor, then improve their interests in English.Step VI Do some exercises In order to master the language points well ,I will let them do some exercises ,the exercises are on the computer, I will let them put the answers on the whiteboard, I will call the students who put up his hand highest to do i

18、t, the others do them in the exercise book. I will check the answers on the whiteboard, if the answer is right, I will give him a flower to encourage them.My purpose is to let them be interested in doing it.Step VI Dialogue show Make up a dialogue to talk about pets, ask some groups to act out in fr

19、ont of the class.My purpose is to train their expressions about the dialogue.Step VII :WritingLet students describe their pet or imaginary pet with 3 or 4 sentences ,look at project, I want to improve their abilities of writing.StepVIII: Homework supermarket.(They can choose the homework according t

20、o their abilities.)1.New words and expressions2.Finsh off the exercises in activity book.3.Write a composition about their pets or imaginary pets.Part Five: Analysis of resultsMost students can master the tasks that I give and get recreation from studying, at the same time improve their overall qual

21、ity. I think some students or groups may have some trouble in making the dialogue, I will give them some words that they may use, for example: favorite, lovely, little, in the box, milk, bread and so on.
