8、来的状态。still 意为“仍旧,还”,指某事仍在继续,多用于肯定句和疑问句中。make a decision 意为“做出决定”。make a decision to do sth.意为“决定做某事”,相当于 decide to do sth.。来源:gkstk.Combecause 为连词,意为“因为”,引导原因状语从句。show people how to give first aid 意为“教人们如何急救”。除 show 之外,tell, teach, decide 等动词之后也可跟“疑问词+动词不定式(短语)”作宾语。first aid 意为“急救”。day after day 意为“

9、日复一日,多日,连续地”,强调动作的重复性。day by day 意为“一天一天地,逐日地 ”,强调动作的逐渐性。possible 为形容词,意为“可能的”,其副词为 possibly,反义词为impossible“不可能的”。condition 为名词,意为“环境,条件”。动词不定式短语 to help others 作状语,用来表示目的。operate 为不及物动词,意 为“动手术”,其名词形式为 operation,意为“手术”。“给某人或某部位做手术”常用 operate on。动词不定式短语 to remember him 在句中作目的状语,前置于句首,表 示强调。动词不定式(短语)

10、 可位于句首,用逗号与句子隔开,也可位于句末。set up 为动副短语,意为“建立,设立”。not onlybut also意为“不仅而且”,连接两个表示并列关系的成分时,着重强调后者,其谓语动词形式通常与靠近的主语保持一致。4.
