1、给父母签证需准备的东西：访问学者给父母签证一般分两种情况：1. 在自己申请签证的时候直接带父母携签，这种是最方便的，因为父母只要跟着去使馆就好，通常不会问什么问题，主要是问 J1 问题，只要 J1 过了，父母的 B1/B2 签证肯定也过，没有问题。准备的材料跟后面一种情况的准备的差不多，不需要给 VO 的信，不需要准备 J1 的材料。但是听说有一种可能就是，如果你的签证被 check 了，父母的签证不会给 10 年的。不知道是否属实，大家可以互相打听下。2. 另一种情况就是自己已经签完了，让父母再去签证。这种情况不管你人是否在美国了，我认为最好都需要准备一封给 VO 的信。目的是父母通常没什么
2、经验，怕他们说不明白，写封信放在材料的最上面让他们直接递进去给VO，让 VO 了解一下情况。这样比较方便。我是每次都写了信给 VO，然后给爸妈准备好所有材料，放在一个文件夹里，让爸妈直接连同信一起递给VO，让 VO 需要什么自己挑，省事，呵呵。当然，如果人已经在美国了，父母在签证，可以同时附一封给父母的信，表示想念，希望他们过去美国看看，旅游一下之类的，就可以了，可以用中文写。不管是否已经到美国，都要随父母的材料附上自己 J1 的相应材料，具体见材料清单。另外，如果父母自己去签证，一定提前帮着父母演练一下，自己想想 VO 可能会问到的问题。比如：去干什么，打算待多久，孩子在美国做什么，哪个大学
3、的。 。 。 。等等等等，千万帮父母想好问题，想好答案，一定告诉父母清楚自己在美国做什么，哪个大学之类的，别让父母搞不清楚乱说，否则很容易拒签。总之，我觉得父母申请签证就是咱们的事情，咱们把东西准备的越全，问题想得越全，交代的越清楚，父母签证越轻松。3. 后面附带我妈去签证，我自己给 VO 写的信还有给我妈准备的签证材料清单，给大家参考。每家的情况不同，大家可以根据自己情况修改。B1/B2 的签证千万不要提到照顾孩子之类的（尤其孩子小的更要注意） 。一定要强调去旅游，然后强调有能力支付旅游费用，跟国内联系紧密，肯定会回国就可以了。August 12th 2015 United States E
