The communicationmust be timely and accurate in order to ensure successful completion and on-time delivery of the system.To meet these requirements, CHAWR assigns a Project Manager to coordinate
24、the design and build effort at CHAWR as well as being thefocal point for all communications with the customer.Role of the CHAWR Project ManagerThe CHAWR Project Manager performs the following functions: Provides a single point contact for the customer Distributes information to the CHAWR project tea
25、m members Provides objectives and priorities to the CHAWR project team members Coordinates design reviews and critical design review meetings with the customer Monitors the status of the project and provides regular status reports to the customer Processes changes to the contractProject Reporting to
26、 the CustomerProject reporting to the customer is handled through a number of channels. In addition to verbal reports, the CHAWR Project Manager canalso provide bi-weekly written reports on project status. Typically, the written report includes the following items: An updated project task schedule D

This system allows potential pro
33、blems to be identified early, before they become an issue.Engineering Change Notice and ProcedureIn order to manage and record changes to the project design and/or changes to the scope of work CHAWR utilizes a formal Engineering ChangeNotice (ECN) Procedure.The changes are recorded on a Change Order
34、 Request (COR) form which can be initiated by the CHAWR Project Manager or the customersProject Manager. The description section of the form is completed and submitted to the CHAWR Operations Manager for assessment of thecost, delivery and performance impacts on the system.After these impacts are as
35、sessed, the COR is submitted for customer approval. After approval, the signed COR is returned to CHAWR and thechanges outlined are implemented. The customer is then requested to submit a modified purchase order to reflect these changes.This procedure keeps both CHAWR and the customer fully aware of
36、 the cost and delivery status of the project as well as providing a method oftracking and recording all changes to the original scope of work.Project Implementation 工程进程The implementation of projects at CHAWR is broken into six phases. At the completion of each phase, members of the CHAWR andcustome
37、r project teams meet to resolve technical and schedule issues. During each phase, the project specification and supporting qualitydocumentation are revised to reflect project status.Mechanical and Electrical DesignThe mechanical and electrical design phases of the project run concurrently. Following
38、 the receipt of customer component drawings andsamples and the production of a final system layout, work can begin on individual cell and stations layouts. Mechanical assembly drawings areproduced for all stations to illustrate the proposed assembly concept.Following customer approval, the major ass
39、emblies are detailed and drawings are released for production. Prototypes of new mechanisms mayalso be built during this time to verify design concepts.During the electrical design phase of the project, the controls architecture, controls hardware and desired functionality of the system are finalize
40、d.Based on the station I/O and power requirements, panel layouts are developed to house all of the required controls hardware.Safety circuits and operator controls are also designed during this phase of the project. Following customer design approval, the electricaldesign package is released for pro
41、duction.System FabricationThe bulk of the mechanical and electrical details are built and installed on the system during the tooling build phase. At the completion of thisphase, the system appears almost complete but is not yet fully functional.Safety guarding and a few long lead items are usually n
42、ot in place at this time. Although mechanically complete, the programming is not yetimplemented at this stage.Integration and DebugDuring this phase of the project, the software to control the machine is installed and the mechanical devices are cycled. This process beginswith the debug of individual
43、 stations and proceeds until the whole system is functional.Once the system has achieved a certain level of reliability and is producing accepable parts, a pre-acceptance checklist is filled out. If themachine meets all the conditions on the checklist, the customer is invited for formal acceptance o
44、f the machine.Customer Acceptance and ShipmentThere will be the customer present to verify that it meets the design specifications at CHAWR site. The installation price quoted in this proposal is based on the followingbreak-down of responsibilities: Customer personnel will knock down shipping crates and discard all packing materia
46、ls. The customer supplys lift trucks to move equipment from crates to the proper location within the plant. The customer installs all utility drops to the equipment. RD-TECH will spot, level, lag and align all stations, connect all electrical and pneumatic interconnections and commission the entires
47、ystem.Final AcceptanceOnce the system has been installed in the customers facility a final acceptance procedure is run.
