8、t pleasure to welcome you to the 9th International Symposium on Multinational Business Management-Entrepreneurship, Organizational Change and Employment Relations Management organized by the School of Business, Nanjing University, China. In light of global economic uncertainty, entrepreneurship has

9、become one of the promising new engines of sustainable economic development. National governments are encouraging entrepreneurship with the expectation that it can boost the domestic economy through enhanced growth and stable employment. Local governments further encourage entrepreneurship as a mean

10、s to transform traditional development concepts and improve government functions. By cultivating entrepreneurship, governments promote entrepreneurs to integrate resources across different socioeconomic strata to form new sources of economic growth. In the long run, the entrepreneurship creates pres

11、sures for change in organizational structures and employee management. It is essential for managers and employees in organizations to keep pace with changes in the business environment. This adaptation requires organizations to analyze information from the external environment to maintain and streng

12、then the effectiveness of organizational operations, systems, and processes. In response, the attitudes and behavioral patterns of organizational members and human resource policies, such as employee relation management requires continuous and substantial adjustments. Since organizational change imp

13、oses high uncertainty on employees responsibilities and work routines, organizations may face resistance to change. The fierce resistance to organizational change is often manifested as industrial disputes and labor relations unrest. Such situations can be especially difficult for multinational comp

14、anies to address, due to national differences in employment policy, cultural backgrounds, union history, and legal systems. A key question is: how can entrepreneurial organizations foster sustainable development while successfully responding to the challenges of organizational change and employment

15、relations management? To explore solutions to these issues, and to meet the new challenges facing management scholars, we are holding the Ninth International Symposium on Multinational Business Management-Entrepreneurship, Organizational Change and Employment Relations Management at the School of Bu

16、siness, Nanjing University, China on June 20-21, 2017. This symposium follows eight successful prior “international symposiums on multinational business management” held in Nanjing in 5 1992, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2011, and 2014. The symposium aims to provide an exchange platform for scholar

17、s, entrepreneurs, and CEOs from international firms. We have chosen a different theme for each symposium based on the hot topic that multinational corporations face at that moment. This symposium discusses how corporations can survive and thrive in the changing environment of entrepreneurship, organ

18、izational change and employment relations management. Accordingly, we have chosen “Multinational Business Management- Entrepreneurship, Organizational Change and Employment Relations Management” as the theme of this years symposium. It is our privilege to welcome participants from diverse background

19、s and different countries and regions to share their research, management experiences, and creative ideas. Over 100 papers were received and 41 papers were accepted and published in the proceedings through the peer-review process of three blind reviewers. An additional 23 refereed papers were accept

20、ed for oral presentation at the conference. In addition, we have organized five special sessions including 1. “Entrepreneurs in the 21st Century: The Comparative Study of China, South Korea, Japan and the United States” 2. “The 12th Joint International Conference on Sino-Japanese Economic Developmen

21、t and Multinational Corporation Management”. 3. “International Conference on Chinas Belt and Road Strategy” 4. “Special Session on Drucker Management Thoughts” 5. “A Study of Employment Relationship Approaches and Human Resource Management Innovation in Chinese Enterprises”, key research project sup

22、ported by National Natural Science Foundation (71332002) The symposium has received tremendous support from many institutions and owes its success to their contributions. 42、017 年 6 月 20-21 日在南京举行。此次研讨会是继 1992 年、 1996 年、1999 年、 2002 年、 2005 年、 2008 年、 2011 年和 2014 年成功举办过八届研讨会之后的又一届盛会!该研讨会旨在为学者、企业家以及跨国公司的 CEO 们提供一个论坛,来共同探讨企业如何在当前创业、组织变革和雇佣关系管理等方面充满变化的环境中生存与兴旺。因此,我们选择了“跨国经营 管理 企业家精神、组织变革和雇佣 关系 管理”作为本届研讨会的主题。 我们非常荣幸地欢迎您与来自不同背景的参会者分享自己的研究成果、管理经验及创造性思考。我们邀请了国内外专家、学者和从业者向大会提交
