Afterwards, I got my Doctors degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Xi an Jiaotong University in 2005. My current research focuses on refractories and high-temperature

5、 ceramic and I am proceeding with my research program. However, due to the restricted condition in experiment, finance and limited personal experience, I would like to find an opportunity to go abroad for further study and research.Your researches are of particular interest to me, especially in corr

6、osion resistance of refractories and use of phase diagrams in studies of refractories corrosion. Pollution reduces the quality of life especially in urban areas with high population and vehicle densities. On this background alte

26、rnative fuels for vehicles have been investigated. Electricity is the only candidate that avoids any emissions, and in the long run, is independent of future oil shortage. The presently known world oil resources last 43 years at constant consumption. Therefore, electricity offers the only solution f

27、or urban areas.Beijing is one of the ten most polluted cities in the world. In 1999 the Chinese government initiated the Clean Air Project-Clean Vehicle Action scheme for the research and development, manufacture, and utilization of electric vehicles in twelve big cities in China such as Beijing and

28、 Shanghai. I have been heavily involved in this scheme to develop electric buses for public transport. Now that the R&D part of the work is completed, we are planning for the infrastructure development. What I plan to do now is to undertake an international survey of the current status in the key ar

29、eas of EV support infrastructure. Work PlanDuring my 6-month visit to XXX University, my proposed research will focus on the following parts of infrastructure: Vehicle part of infrastructure: including information of dealers and sales organizations of Evs, components suppliers and training of servic

30、e personnel; Utility part of infrastructure: information about production and distribution of electricity, technology of converting different primary energy such as coal, gas, nuclear, hydro and solar into electricity: Public part of infrastructure: information about street and road conditions and l

31、ong-time parking areas with standard sockets suitable for Evs.Such information will enable me to Review the current framework for setting standards relating to electric vehicle infrastructure and improving relationships between different frameworks; Review operational experience with EV charging sta

32、tions; Evaluate EV charging systems and their associate protective devices; Study the impact of EV use on local power distribution networks. ConclusionInfrastructure development is a costly engineering project. But as the environmental consciousness of the public is increasing, the EV infrastructure construction is a worthy endeavor in the long run. But we can try to introduce the new type of drive for automobiles at the lowest total cost for individuals as well as industries.注:Work Plan 也称作 Research Proposal
