As each bird flaps its wings it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a V-formation the whole flock adds at least 70% to its flying range than if each bird w

While it might be possible for us to get along for some time on our own, most people prefer to work and associate

12、 with others. Ever since we were born we have relied on others. As small babies we relied on others to feed us, change our nappies, change our clothes and, more importantly, to love us. As we grew older, we were taught how to speak by those around speaking to us. In the same way we learned to love b

As we move into secondary school we learn in even more detail about all these things. At the same time we learn from our family, from ou

To get registeredhad to someone had to someone had to From the list you have made, and those of your classmates, you can see that we rely on many people every day of our lives.

16、 It is important to remember that we do not just rely on people for the material things in life. We need other people for our emotional and mental wellbeing. This begins from an early age in our family when we are praised for doing something well and comforted when we have a nightmare. But it lasts

17、throughout our lives we all need support and encouragement. Without it we cannot give of our best.S1 Unit 1: Community Learning and Teaching Scotland 2003 4Think of a time that you were very sad, frightened or upset and someone helped you feel better. If other people rely on us, it is important that we do not let them down.Think about the times people rely on you (e.g. your parents, brothers or sisters, friends, priest

Include a slogan so that people are clear on the point of your poster.S1 Unit 1: Community Learning and Teaching Scotland 2003 5

20、Explore and Reflect: A Sense of BelongingThink about your thoughts and feelings the first day that you had to come to your new school. You might have been excited, frightened, nervous, worried and feeling all sorts of different emotions. Think about how that compares with being somewhere you are fam

They know one another well. In the same way, you probably felt you belonged in your primary school. Thi

41、 How did you know they didnt like it? What did you do to become friends again, e.g. did you ask someone else to help sort things out?The way you act in school can have a big effect on how other people will enjoy being in school and how well they learn. For example, if you put litter in the bin and dont break the things that are provided for everyone to use, everyone has a more pleasant life. However, it

Your teachers will always be willing to be of assistance, especially your tutor/form teacher and your guidance teacher. They will help resolve any problems you have with others.Respect: when we act in a way that shows concern for other people, their thoughts, feelings and what belongs to them.
