A paragraph can be as short as one sentence or as long as a whole page. But a sentence may be made up of one or two words, or it may run to a whole page. So sentence count is not a reliable yardstick for the measurement of a paragraph. On the whole, your paragraphs should be adequately developed, and they should be about from five to eight lines long. The length varies with your purpose or design.
