19、般跟在某些抽象概念的名词后面,用以说明名词所表示的具体内容。常跟同位语从句的名词主要有:_预习中的问题教学过程:一名词性从句的构成:在句子中起名词作用的从句称为名词性从句:它包括主语从句,宾语从句,表语从句和同位语从句,由连词 that,if/whether 和各种特殊疑问词引导。注意:这类从句主谓语必须用陈述语序。二名词性从句用法1.主语从句:在复合句中充当主语的从句。(1)由 that 引导的主语从句(that 不可以省略)That the doorman remembered their names surprised them a lot.有人还记得他们的名字使他们感到很惊讶。(2)由

20、 whether 引导的主语从句(不可用 if 代替)Whether it will clear up tomorrow is not yet known.明天天气是否会放晴尚不清楚。(3)由特殊疑问词引导的主语从句How much time students spend on their homework often concerns teachers.教师们经常关心学生花多少时间完成作业。(4)it 作形式主语(that 不可以省略)_ the football team was warmly received by the Queen at the Buckingham Palace.

23、think(或 suppose, expect, believe, imagine, guess)其后的宾语从句如果是否定的,常常把否定词 not 从从句移到主句。3.表语从句:在复合句中作表语的从句,放在系动词之后(1)由 that 引导的表语从句(that 在非正式语体中通常可以省略)The fact is (that) we dont have enough experience for the work.(2)由 whether 引导的表语从句( 不可用 if 代替)The question is whether I should e-mail him about the news n

24、ow.(3)由特殊疑问句引导的表语从句The problem we are facing now is how we can collect so much money for the blind.4.同位语从句:在复合句中作名词的同位语的从句,它对名词起进一步解释的作用,说明名词所包含的具体内容,that 不可省略. Before leaving, the Green family expressed the hope that they would come to China again.同位语从句一般跟在某些抽象概念的名词后面,用以说明名词所表示的具体内容。常跟同位语从句的名词主要有:i

25、dea, news, fact, promise, answer, belief, doubt, hope, problem, proof, question, suggestion, thought, truth, possibility 等。三、名词性从句中连接词用法的注意事项1.that:非正式文体中,引导宾语从句的连词 that 常可以省去。但若宾语由两个并列句组成时,that 不省略,并且每个并列句前都需要有 that 引导。He said _ he was running a fever and _ he couldnt come to school.2.whether/if:在下

26、列情况下,只能用 whether 而不用 if:(1)与 or not 连用时用 whether 没人知道商店是否要关闭。_(2)介词或 discuss 后的宾语从句用 whether,不用 if(3)表语从句用 whether 不用 if,意为“是否” The question is whether we can get there.(4)同位语从句中,表“是否”讲用 whether 而不用 ifThere is some doubt _ he is the best man for the job. 四、关于名词性从句的补充说明1.if 在宾语从句与状语从句中的区别:宾语从句中,if 和

27、whether 的意思基本一样,都表示“是否” ,且从句中可用各种时态(包括将来时) ;在状语从句中,if 的意思是“假如” ,表示将来的动作或者状态时,从句用一般现在时。Please let me know if/whether youll join us tonight. _从句If you plan to join us tonight,please let me know._ 从句2.定语从句与同位语从句的区别:定语从句中的 that 既指代先行词,又在从句中作某个成分(主语,宾语或表语) ,作宾语时常可省略;而同位语从句中的 that 只起连接词的作用,不在名词从句中充当任何成分,且

28、不可省略。The news (that/which) he told us was exciting. 定语从句that/which 在句中充当定语从句中的宾语成分,指代先行词 news,可省略。The news that our volleyball team won was exciting. 同位语从句从句说明 news 的内容,用 that 连接且不可省略。3.表语从句的常用结构(1) The reason (why) is that 意为“发生某种情况的原因是 ”The reason _ Im late is that I had a flat tyre.注意:句中引导表语从句的连接

29、词应该用 that 而不用 because。(2)That is where/when/how/why表示“这就是的地方/时间/方式/原因。 ”I had a flat tyre.
