Information is no longer rare. But attention is. Why give it away so easily? It is worrying that we are spending SO much time skimm

39、ing through headlines. With so much information, our brain has to form shortcuts to deal with the overload and the distractions, because on top of that, we consume news while multitasking. We listen to the news while driving. We read the newspaper while having breakfast. News breaks our concentratio

40、n and thins comprehension and the more we consume it, the more we reinforce(强化)this habitAbove all, we do not recognize the effect that pessimistic content can have on the individual.
