1、I started to read an English book nearly two weeks ago. The book is called The Coldest Place on Earth. I think this must be an excellent book. I had read this story in Chinese before reading it in English. The story is about a race to South Pole. Two shipsthe Terra Nora from England and Farm from No
2、rway sailed to the South Pole for a race. Two groups were both working hard. But the English captain used poniesthat were not good at walking on the ice. English men werent good at skiing, however. To make matters worse, they put less flags beside the depots than Norwegian put. The English men set o
3、ut first, but they didnt get to the South Pole first. They tried their best. It was very coldless than -30 always, and sometimes it could be -60 . There were a lot of heavy storms, so the English men werent able to go any meters back. They all died in their tent. They are all good English men.This i
4、s the story. I am moved after I read all the story. The South Pole is the coldest place on earth. There are many ices, ice mountains, and there are many thin ices. In the story, some sledges and dogs had ever dropped into the water and died. There is no food there, either. Anyway, everything is diff
5、icult to do there.But they all went there bravely. This is a thing that we should all learn from. When a man got hurt, he still went and went, or ski and ski hard, never stopped. They also talked to each other hopefully, they all believed that they can get to the South Pole first. It represents that
6、 their country will be the first. They all love their country, so they all tried their best. On the other hand, we have good food, warm clothes, and we are not alone. But most of us dont study hard. I think wed better study hard. The people in the story had many difficulties to go, but they still we
7、nt hard. So if we have problems in study, we shouldnt be discourage, just do our best.
