There are teaching content, students analysis, teaching aims, key points and difficulties, teaching methods,

2、 teaching procedures and teaching assessment and board design. Firstly , I would like to talk about the teaching content. This lesson is the second period and picked up from the part B, Unit 2 of Primary School English Book 1, Students Book of Peoples Education Press. In this unit, the topic is abou

3、t colors. As we live in a colorful life, it is close to our daily life and students are familiar with this topic. Students like drawing, they will be interested in this lesson, and this lesson will be help them to express their feelings in real life. As we mention the students, secondly, let me anal

4、ysis the students. The students are from Grade three. Some of them may already learned English words in the kindergarten, but most of them are their first year to learn a new language, so they are full of curiosity and they are eager to show themselves and express their feelings. Thirdly, I would li

5、ke to talk about the teaching aims. According to the new standard curriculums (2011) and the syllabus , after analyzing the teaching materials and the rule of students growing of mind, I set the following teaching aims, which refer to knowledge aims, ability aims and emotion aims. By the end of this

6、 lesson, students will be able to read, recognize and use the words black, white, orange and brown. And understand the sentence pattern “ Color it !” They can listen and do the actions. “Stand up. Sit down. Touch the ground. Turn around.” And they can listen, ask and answer the questions “ What colo

7、r is it? Its ” to practice colors; use the sentence “ I see .” to describe their beautiful pictures. By taking part in the classroom activities and working in groups, their communication and good-cooperation abilities, their creative and innovation abilities will be cultivate and enhance. 2 After an

8、alysis of the students characters, fourthly, the key points of this lesson will be set as these, students will be able to read, recognize and use the words black, white, orange and brown. After class they can use the key sentence pattern “ Color it !” and “ What color is it? Its ” to practice more c

9、olors. The difficulty is to use the sentences pattern in the real life. In the lesson, many teaching methods will be used, such as task-based teaching method, communicative teaching approach , direct teaching method and TPR method to stimulate students interests in their learning English. And in the

10、 class, these methods will help the students thinking in English and develop their four skills. I also design some activities in the class to create an interactive environment for communicate and practice. Flash cards, CAI courseware, pictures will be prepared for the class. This is for five part. A

11、ccording to English teaching theory and language learning strategy, my teaching procedures will be lasted to five steps. Here, I will describe them in details. Step1 Warming up and revision, I will spend 2 minutes. After greeting with the students as a daily life, I will let them listen to a song an

12、d sing the song. “Color song”, then, I will ask the students, “ How many colors can you hear in the song?” And let them review the words, red, yellow, green and blue. Then, teacher ask the questions, “ Who is wearing yellow today? Please stand up or wave your arms.” Pupils like to sing English songs

13、, in this song, they can review the words what they have learn last period, let them count the colors and answer the questions and interact with teachers will help them to set confidence to communicate with others in English. Step 2 Presentation. In this section, I will spend nearly 20 minutes. I wi

14、ll show the students some watercolors, let them review the colors “red, yellow, blue” which they have learned last period. Then tell them I will play a magic game. I put up a piece of white paper on the blackboard, teach them read the new word “white”, let them read, “ white paper”, “a piece of whit

15、e paper”. “ There is a piece of white paper on the blackboard.” Teach “black”, using the sentence “My hair is black. My eyes are black.” Let students find the colors, black, white. Because of teaching a word cannot 3 be isolated in just one word. When we read or listen, we always understand the word

16、s meaning in context. So, during teaching the new words , I insert the sentence “What color is it?” which can help the students have a better understanding on the new words. Then I show the students blue and yellow, color these colors on the paper using the sentence “ Color it blue. Color it yellow.

17、” And mix them together. Students will found, the paper becomes green, let them review the word “green”. And then, color the paper red and yellow. It becomes orange. Teach students the new word “ orange” , using sentence pattern “ Color it orange.” By using the same way, I teach new word “brown”. Br

18、own bear. Let the students find these colors in the classroom. For brown is a difficult word, so I will spend more time on this word and use game “hide and seek” to help students to grasp the word. This is for mechanical drills in language learning strategies. For the pronunciations of these new wor

19、ds, I will ask students to find the rules of pronunciation of consonant clusters, for example, “bl”, “br”, “gr”. Step 3 Practice. For meaningful practice, I will ask the questions, “What color is your pencil-case?” or “ What color is your schoolbag?” Give students some examples and then let them pra

20、ctice in pairs. One student asks and his desk mate answers. And I will ask them show their colorful crayons. I say, black, black, stand up! The students ho has black crayons will stand up! Then let them practice the rhyme following CAI courseware. Then I will show them a picture without colors, ask

21、them “ What color is the sun, the flowers, the river and the trees?” Deliver the big different pictures to each group, Let them discuss and speak out the colors. All the activities are collected here aim to help students practice the new words and the sentences. The students will enjoy the ways and

22、learn English happily . Step 4 Consolidation and extension. Here, I will show some beautiful pictures of flowers, snow mountains, seas, animals and other things which all comes from nature, and tell students we live in a colorful world, we all like the life and love the nature, and we should protect

23、 our own nature. This step for emotion education in the content. Step5 Sum-up When we watch the colorful pictures of nature, a music of “color song” as a background music will be played which had played at the beginning. Students and 4 teachers sing the song, “ red and yellow and pink and blue” At t

24、he end of the class , I use the rainbow which is from the song to conclude this period. And PPT shows the homework. At last , I would like to talk about my blackboard design. The blackboard design is lay the emphasis on the new words and the new sentences , which can let the Ss know what we learned

25、today. On the top of the middle, there is the title. In the middle, there are the key sentences “ Color it ” and key word colors. Also, I put some colorful stars on the left side of the board which can use as the prizes to arouse the students desires to learn better. The function of stars also like teaching assessment tools in teaching procedures. This On the right side of the board there is a words bank that can put many words which they have learned before.
