2、ltage DC generator is a high-voltage DC power supply equipment of multiple uses with high stability and reliability. With the zero voltage closing protection, over-voltage protection and over-current protections in place, the instrument and test piece can be protected from damage. This instrument al

3、so has the characteristics of small size, light weight, convenient to carry and use together with its continuously adjustable and reliable features, it is applicable for: High-voltage DC tests on site by power supply authorities, such as DC voltage withstanding test and leak test of electric power c

4、ables, conduction current and 1mA reference voltage test for magnetic blow-out arrestor and Zinc-oxide arrestor. Operation ProceduresThis unit must be operated by technicians special in high-pressure discipline!1. First

13、check the operation box and pressure chamber are clean and in good Equalizing CoverInsulation ShellInput Port of VoltageGrounding PortBase4conditions and no broken or short circuit on AC220V power supply cable and connecting cables.2. Refer to Diagram 3 to connect the cables for operation box and pr

14、essure chamber leaving sufficient space for safety concern. Then connect it to arrestor of the test piece or other loads and connect the grounding wire of discharge rods.Must remember grounding of the pressure chamber, operation box, the test piece and discharge rod!Figure 3 Wiring Diagram of Onsite

15、 DC Generator3. Proceed following no-load test after checking wiring of all circuits with no problem. 4. Turn the power switch to the position of “Break”, turn the high-voltage output switch button in counter clockwise direction to end position then close the power switch. After reading displays on

16、meter, push the circuit-breaker closing button, if a “pa” sound gives out with some slight vibration sound, it means the relay is closed. Adjust the output button in clockwise direction to required voltage value. In case when over-current and over-voltage protection functions are needed, please turn

17、 the switch buttons for over-current and over-voltage protection to corresponding positions, Over-voltage protection function: While user is making a test, to protect the Discharge RodOperation BoxGrounding PortDCPressure Chamber of GeneratorWater BlockArrestor or Other Loads5equipment from damage,

18、especially from damage by over voltage in case of load voltage is higher than nominal output voltage of the equipment, over-voltage protection is adopted to prevent this happening. First, connect wires as required, disconnect the test piece, rise up voltage to required protection voltage value in no

19、-load condition, then adjust the button for over-voltage protection slowly until protection of the equipment is activated with the over-voltage indication lights up, then turn the output switch button to zero, turn off power supply, discharge power, then connect the test piece for voltage test. Over

20、-current protection function: While user is making a test, to protect the equipment from damage, the over-current protection is activated in case of current of load is higher then nominal output current, there will be no high voltage output and over-current indication lights up. The switches for hig

21、h voltage and power supply shall be turned off and the test shall only be resumed after finding out the causes. Usage of 0.75U1mA key: Wile making a zinc-oxide arrestor test, when the high-voltage current reaches to 1mA, the voltage meter on the right side reads U1mA, press the 0.75U1mA key, the vol

22、tage meter on the left side will memorize a value of 0.75U1mA, then turn the voltage switch button in counter clockwise direction till voltage values of the two meters are equal. By this time the value appeared on the millimeter turns to be the leak current under 0.75U1mA voltage. 5. After no-load t

23、est is passed, DC voltage withstanding and leak current tests of the test piece can be made per normal high-voltage test procedures. In case it needs to pressurize again after protection are activated, power must be turned off before repeating above procedures again. 6. While making capacitive load

24、test, note that the pressurizing speed shall not be too fast in the process of capacitance power charging in case the output voltage exceeds the nominal value and damage the test piece. 7. After test, high-voltage output switch button must be turned to zero position, disconnect the power, and only r

25、emove the wirings for test after the pressure level 6is lowered and residual charge is released from the discharge rod. VI. Explanation1. In case of the output DC current value needs to be tested in high accuracy, a MSA1 automatic protective millimeter needs to be connected externally to the high-vo

26、ltage port on the instrument, which needs to be purchased separately. 2. In case of the output DC current value needs to be tested in high accuracy, a high-voltage DC voltage divider needs to be connected in parallel to the high-voltage port on the instrument, which needs to be purchased separately.

27、3. In case of high-power DC voltage generator is needed such as of 5mA, 10mA and special voltage ratings, our company can manufacture per actual order by customers. 7VII. 34、e as following as required by Preventive Test Code for Electric Power Equipment, DL/T5961996:(1) Insulation resistance. (2) DC 1mA voltage(Leak current under U1mA and 0.75UlmA)(3) DC leak current under operation voltage: Measure full current, resistive current or power loss under operation voltage,

35、compare the measured values with initial values, strengthen monitor when there appears some obvious change and disconnect power connect for examination when the resistive current is increased by 1 time. (4) Operation reference voltage under operation reference current.(5) Insulation resistance on the base. (6) Check the operation status of the counter.
