11、o see you, but that I have no time.不是我不想见你,而是我没时间。Not that I care what they said, but (that) it is you I am worrying about.我不是在乎他们说过的话,而现在担忧的是你。from now on 意为“从现在起”,常用于一般将来时。还有一个与此类似的短语from then on,意为“从那时起”,常用于一般过去时。e.g. From now on, Im going to work hard.我打算今后努力工作。do / try ones best to do sth. “尽自己

12、最大努力做某事”。e.g. They did / t ried their best to pass the exam. 他们尽最大努力满足我。consider doing sth. 意为“ 考虑做某事”,动词 consider 后的动词要用动名词形式,也可加宾语从句。eg. He considers telling his mother about these problems. 他考虑把这些问题告诉他妈妈。只能跟动词不定式不能跟动词-ing 形式作宾语的常见动词还有 agree, aim, arrange, choose, decide, demand, desire, determine
